Nothing compared to what Scola did for the last two minutes of the game. He flopped his way into a comeback.
Lowry back might not be such a good thing anyway. Rotations were set, now everything seems out of whack. We need to go at least 2-1 against Denver & Dallas which is very unlikely. 14th pick, here we come!
Is it me, or we keep losing a lot of must wins games in recent memories. Game 7 against Utah at compaq center (I was there), game 4 against Dallas at home chance to make a series 3 - 1, again game 7 against the Jazz in a Tmac Yao era. You can argue last two games were must wins. I know these last two games are not carrying the same weight as the playoff games, but for a team that hasn't been to the playoffs the last two season I look at these games as a playoff games.
The Jazz and Suns are bad matchups. Mismatches at the swing positions and their bigs are more combo forwards. Even their centers are smaller types who are mobile enough to cover PF. This can allow them to stop the Rockets from being able to double/help on d.
1. Dragic got in foul trouble which hurt in 3rd quarter. 2. Lowry just does not have it to score off the dribble right now. 3. Dragic and Lowry are not playing well together because they do not know each others role, and neither is very good off the ball. 4. Camby tired out in the 3rd quarter. 5. Rockets were in the game is because of rebounding in the 1st half. Once Camby went out, no one picked up the slack and the couldn't keep up. 6. Rockets still cannot defend pick and rolls. 7. Could not make 3 pointers.
I actually disagree that it was a good call. It wasn't a bad call... but it couldve gone either way I think and Lee was an idiot for trying it. Nash had barely set while backpeddling, and Lee ran sideways into him... which many times goes for the offense since its not straight on. He turned and passed, and I swear we see this called as a charge too many times when its never called that way for Houston the other way. I dont care, we cant blame things like this for killing our momentum. The Rockets killed momentum, when they decided to take an entire quarter off. I am so unbelievably angry at this team right now. and possibly angrier at myself for caring about this team so much.
