Um wow, I don't know if they're just not posting any of the negative stuff or what...but....yeah....wow.

I've had a feeling the movie would be awesome, but the universal praise it's getting there is crazy.

Side note: Everyone saying the Hulk steals the show makes me very, very...very happy.

This is a relatively major spoiler if you haven't been paying attention:

The cosmic cube / tesseract is confirmed to be a major plot point of the movie. Yeah, anyone who watched the end of Thor (or any of Captain America for that matter) probably could have gathered -- but it's still confirmation none the less. It's mentioned in passing by Maria Hill when speaking to Fury in the clip of the link (the one that isn't a dr pepper commercial. ).

See I thought that too...but looking at the staff it doesn't really look like it -- other than it's glowing. The first pic looks like it, the second one not so much. Also the fourth pic is something entirely different lol. We're on the same page regardless.

I have a question...

If you're HULK... aren't you just freakin' irritated that people need your "help" to beat up on injustice (no pun intended vs. justice league) only when you're mad?

I mean, people come over to your house and say: "Hey, Bruce... we need your help" and you say "Not right now" so they slap you and say "HULK it up, b*tch." So now you're mad... and... what, you help them? How do you listen to reason about fighting enemies while mad and green? :grin:

I get that you're joking, but to be fair...

in the movie they tap Banner to help not because he's Hulk, but because he's the foremost expert on gamma radiation. The object that Loki is getting all his power from is giving off...you guessed it -- gamma radiation.

Anyway, the idea is he's supposed to be getting closer and closer to controlling his powers at this point. You just kind get him in the mood then get out of the way I guess. Haha.

I don't follow the comics, but did Bruce ever get control of Hulk in the comics (or cartoons)? I thought Hulk was uncontrollable...

There's been a LOT of iterations.

-At several points the Hulk has taken over (like Avengers the current cartoon) and he is Hulk all the time.
-At one point there was a Gray Hulk which was relatively intelligent and even worked as a bouncer in Vegas.
-Red Hulk who isn't Bruce Banner is a military level strategist.
-At some points Bruce and Hulk have been completely separated and Hulk was a mindless ferocious beast.
-During World War Hulk he was (relatively) intelligent, and really pissed off.

Hulk is definitely controllable, it just depends on who is writing the story at the time. Small example below.

Marvel said:

With assistance by the Ringmaster and his hypnotic abilities, Doc Samson tapped into the subconscious of Banner and reached his separate incarnations. All of them are "real". Although there's definitely been "What Ifs" as well that I didn't cover.

For example on the Hulk Vs. animated movie, it recounts a comic where Loki brings Banner to Asgard to unleash the Hulk against Thor. In this one Banner is completely separated from Hulk by the Enchantress.

While there's a What If where they get separated, and Banner becomes the new Dr. Strange (not named that, but same idea) -- while Hulk gets sent to Hell.

Scarlett Johansson went commando while filming her latest movie - she dressed without underwear to stay cool in her tight costume while working on "The Avengers."

Scarlett reprises her role as the Black Widow in the highly anticipated film. Also returning are comic book characters Iron Man, Thor and Captain America. The actress admits she and her co-stars were extremely uncomfortable because their restrictive superhero outfits made them sweat.

She told Collider.com, "It's like 800 degrees in my costume... and it's a unitard, and I have nothing underneath it! I'd say everybody has their own uncomfortable costume situation. We all have our various things that we have to do to get comfortable."

"Everybody looks so uncomfortable until the cameras are rolling and then we all look slick. Then 'Cut!' and we're all like, 'Arrrgh... God, this thing, get it off me, it's awful!'"

"The Amazing Spider-Man" star Andrew Garfield also recently confessed that he's completely naked underneath his skintight costume.

Avengers doing some late secret filming?

Yesterday however was the big press conference (full transcript) for the movie, a media event which ended on a rather odd note. The last words out of Robert Downey Jr.'s mouth were "We are shooting one more scene. Tonight. Not kidding". The conference then ended so no-one could ask him a follow-up question.

For the next few hours different outlets debated whether Downey was being serious. Joss Whedon started a second press conference immediately after the first by denying it, Marvel's Kevin Feige later dismissed the claim as well.

Actor Mark Ruffalo however went on the record, telling The Playlist that "We’re shooting a scene tonight. I’m not sure exactly where it’s gonna go. All I know is that someone came in with the costume and said, 'Here’s some wardrobe. We don’t know where you’re going to be or what you’re doing'… So I’m like, 'All right, when are we doing that?' Today after we’re done."
