How often do you skip arrangements to watch the Rockets? Tomorrow, for example, I turned down going to this show with friends just so I can spend Friday night alone watching the Rockets play the Suns. Got me thinking, damn am I a loser or am I a FAN???
a) Its the only ESPN game of the season. b) If you DVR it and return to it later, you'll probably end up accidentally (or subconsciously) checking the score and ruining the outcome. c) Its the end of the season playoff push; every game counts. So yeah. You've got excuses lol.
No, you are not a loser. You are not only one who does that. I did the same thing as you. I am sure a lot of people too. Watching Rockets becomes addictive right now because of playoff push. I would skip arrangements now rather than at the beginning of the season.
I DVR and Don't listen to sports radio on the way home, I answer the phone, "Haven't watched the game no spoilers." *click* Don't hop on clutchfans/Espn.com/Yahoo/google/twitter/Facebook until the game is over. I've DVR'd 50% of the rocket games this season and only have been spoiled a couple timed from jackasses trying to be funny; literally Chasing me down yelling Box Score stats... I say go to the show and DVR with communication blackout until you finish watching the game... the 2 Denver games will be just as important.

Are you kidding? Man, I have dates with Rocket games highlighted on my phone. The question I probably hear most from my wife is "Do the Rockets play tonight?" Depending on how important "the thing" she wants to do is, I'll hear "You can record it..." occasionally.....lol. I own two small businesses and one is about 45 minutes from my house. I schedule my trips there around Rocket games all the time. Definitely not a loser, man. Even though I'm 43, I've been somewhat like this since before the championships. I can remember watching the Rockets/Sonics playoffs the year before the first championship. The wife and I worked together but were just friends. I was engaged at the time. After a loss and seeing how hard I took it, she goes "I don't know how she puts up with you... letting sports run your life like you do...."....lol. (well, she married me... and then, "had" to go to bed at halftime during each playoff game of the second championship run - 'cause it "worked" earlier in the playoffs...lmao)
