It all comes down to, white men are seeing hiphop explode like never before, and many of their daughters are socializing, and hanging out with black guys more and more. Of course their birth rates will be lower as a result, because.. black+white= black.. not white

We don't know how old his coworkers are though. Since most people here are under 40 (sorry DD) I assume they are young which is why I asked if they or their parents were born in the USA.

Yeah, there are definitely some young racists but I just have to ignore that for the most part. There really isn't much you can do about it. Unless someone calls you the n word loudly, and there are witnessess, the most that will come of any response is some form of sensitivity training. The politics talk is annoying because not having common views can really hurt your career. Even if I shared the same views I wouldn't want to sit through your whining about the government before or after meetings. But, that can keep you out of the loop on some important conversations and prevent you from establishing relationships with "the right people".
They are old over 60 and white and pretty wealthy. They always complain about taxes and praise Reagan. When I tell them that taxes are lower now than they were then they just don't seem to care. They are oblivious to facts the only truth is they hate Obama.
You have to realize these people were probably angry when blacks were allowed to sit in the front of the bus. I thought they were in their 20-30's (where the hell do you work with a bunch of seniors) but older people just cannot comprehend this great of a change. Out of curiosity, are you white? Seems they are pretty open with their bigotry.

What I'm sure you can support is someone like Jesse Jackson, who when our government failed to be able to get captured US military released, Jesse Jackson personally facilitated the release of Lt. Bobby Goodman from his captors in the Middle East. Just like you'd support Jesse Jackson's effort when he freed hostages in Iran in 1990. Or when he got more military freed that were being held in Serbia...
I am indian, they are just the people who have offices around my office. Its almost like they are oblivious to the fact they are kind of being racist. They also believe being called a democrat is an insult.
