Try to expand your search to all rotation PFs in the league. That's a more reasonable estimation for average height (especially since Patterson's not a starter), since it accounts for all meaningful contributors but weeds out the outlier scrubs who never play. If you could share those findings, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
I could just do all PFs and maybe break it down to starters and others etc.... Let me see if I find some time today between my Kickstarter pitch work etc. DD
I think he's just trying to find versatility. None of our bigs play quickly...the closest is PP and he's not active enough at times. Doesnt go to the rim enough.
Nothing like the determination and fight in a undersized four. What he lacks in size makes up Heart. Good work Morey.
Seriously! OMG! OMG! OMG! Oh MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i hear the PBA is the best league you've never heard of
Josh Smith 6'9" Hump 6'9" David Lee 6'9" Milsap 6'8" Boozer 6'9" All those guys are really good PFs (and top 20 rebounders). Yes, ideally you would like a PF that's 6'10" or taller, but 6'9" is pretty much average.
Thanks for the link. Not really a glowing report, but with some positives: "more of a hustle player" "crashing the offensive boards" "gets involved in a lot of plays and is very active in the painted area" "willing to initiate contact" Sounds like someone who McHale would like playing for him. It would probably would not be reasonable to expect a whole bunch of minutes though.

So we now can claim that we've had the real Barkley and the Philippines Barkley as well as the real McGrady and the Greece McGrady.
