Author math fail. If white people (who make up 65% of the population) commit twice as many crimes in total as black people (who make up 12% of the population) that does not mean they commit crimes at twice the rate of black people, it means they do it at about a third the rate of black people. If everyone was equally likely to commit a crime, and there was no racial disparity, white people would commit 65% of crimes and black people would commit 12% of crimes.
How many of those arrests/ deaths were warranted or really happened. Just because a cop says it did. Doesnt mean it happened( yea i went there) I have seen enough of cops foolishly taping themselves being caught saying or doing things to young black men for me to NOT trust them any longer The truth of the matter is, BM are being targeted by police. And if they try and resist, they will kill them and claim self-defense They make up charges, to keep them off the streets, just this year alone i have heard of 4 such stories. When witnesses and other evidence point to certain people, does it matter if they're black? Suspects aren't selected at random or simply because they're black and "only a black guy could do something this henous." Get real.
I fiercely resent the idea that one race would take credit for Rock and Roll. If anything, it represents the synergy of european elements and african style. It's ironic to try and make it a race issue (like most things).
I dont accept the fact that Black individuals use the slavery card, Jim Crow as an excuse for their poverty,eventually you have to get over it. Hell I believe my parents have had to overcome more difficult odds than most black people claim to. My parents being the foreigners that they are came to this country at the age of 21, did not speak a lick of english, and had no money to their names. I know this story has been played out a million times, but it does not make it any less relevant. The simple fact that they were able to essentially go from poverty to a middle class way of life shows that it is possible, even if you have to start off in a Mcdonalds like my mother, and a liquor store like my father.

Of course it's possible, if you are motivated. As I asked before, if you go anywhere in the world don't the majority of the folks in poverty stay in poverty? If you go anywhere in the world won't the majority of folks born in the middle class stay in the middle class, and so on? Your parents were over achievers. Over achievers in any group setting are rare. Most people go with the norms of their situation. But I don't think that has anything to do with race. There are large groupsd of poor people that are just fine and content being poor in every part of the globe. Comparing an overachiever to someone fine in their current state is silly.
