Hate the costume and the Lizard's human looking face, but I didn't dig the Green Goblin costume from the first movie either. Overall, I think it will be a good movie.

I'm not saying this will be as bad as any of his Batman movies...but seriously? Who gives a ***** about Spiderman's origin? It's been done, and done, and done. And they're going to drag it out across a trilogy? Good gosh...just have him fight some interesting enemies (i.e. NOT the lizard) With how good Avengers and Dark Knight Rises look, I'm really disappointed with what they're doing with Spiderman. Not to mention hasn't the superhero with daddy issues been freaking done? Batman, Iron Man (IM2), Hulk (first movie), Cap (in the comic book tie in for First Avenger, all you hear about is his mom -- his father died in WW1 I believe). Getting really tired of this...
Agreed. His Origin story is pretty well beaten ground now you can only f' it up. If you change it . . .people are pissed if you don't . .. been there done that who doesn't know hiw original story??? 7 yr olds? Rocket River
I think even they do at this point, there's literally 2 or 3 spiderman cartoons currently running. Spiderman Unlimited (If I recall on this one he has one of his newer suits, and he's fighting on other planets and such...wish they'd do a movie like this), and another more traditional one. I forgot to include that last line when I originally linked it... Uh yeah, why even bother with this? It sounds like they're going to try and do that stupid **** they did with the original Hulk. Spoiler Where they implied that even though there was the gamma experiment that unleashed Hulk's powers, that isn't what gave him his powers (it was his dad experimenting on himself, and thus passing off his genes). In other words this sounds incredibly ****ing stupid...they actually pay people to come up with these ideas?
Hey at least it's not being made by George Lucas - then we would get a whole movie about Peter Parker as a baby..
That's going to be the next spiderman movie. They're going to have 80 flashbacks dispersed throughout showing him using his spiderpowers as a child, and then being yelled at by his parents. Thus repressing said spiderpowers until he reaches adolescence. Wow this is a ****ing great idea. Can I direct the next movie?

Hollywood really seems to be out of ideas, they keep rehashing the same old stuff from the past. I know its a business and they are going to do what makes money, but all these movies seem to be the same.
