Great story from the Braves broadcast - to break ground for the Astrodome Astro big wigs shot the ground with revolvers instead of the usual first dig with a shovel.

I hope our relievers are sharp tonight because Weiland's PC will make it lucky for him to get beyond the 6th.

Thus every Texan stereotype was thoroughly proven that day.

Do the Houston broadcast guys ever talk to the train engineer? Braves guys are interviewing him and man, he is quick on his feet! Super witty, funny guy, has a joke for every question they ask him.

Love Dierk, which they'd mix him in more often.

Go Stros. It's like this team is so young and fresh that they do not understand they are not supposed to be getting clutch hits.

Yay for Contract Year Carlos Lee!!!

Of course cannot forget him. If he keeps raking like this, he can net us a good crop of prospects!!

Nice gesture. Poor Chipper. You know you're old if you are still in the league and the announcer says you didn't hit that well in the Astrodome. Probably time to hang up the spikes.

Not time to hang up the spikes if he keeps having monster games like he did tonight.

Tough loss. A couple of bad breaks/missed opportunities cost us a very winnable game.

I have to say so far this year the team looks considerably better. Even though we lost last night we were in it till the very end and had a chance to win it several times. Leaving the bases loaded and getting 0 runs was the killer, but in the 8th and 9th we had opportunities too. Hope we can win 75 games!
