I mean no ring in sight with this team, I'm sure he wouldn't mind getting another one in the few years he plays til he retires. He will sign with a top contender.
If by worse, you mean better in every statistical category while playing defense, then you would be correct.
I am not against it. I think it would be expensive. Plus he would need to be paired with another really good player to be effective.
I would take Garnett is a heartbeat.. yea he is a d0bag, but he is intense, and fires up his teammates. His intangibles are immeasured And you think Kevin Mchale would love to bring Kevin Garnett to Houston. I think we have a very good shot at Garnett is McHale stays the coach
I'd lock him in a room, force-feed him protein and carbs till he gained 20 pounds, and drop him right into the 5 position. Bye bye Samby. Hello Cambnett
Sounds Reallly good to me. But he will have to choose another number because # 5 is owned by C.Lee. I can see him wearing his old # 21. I always liked KG, but never when we play against him. He will look awkward in Rocket Red... He'll be able to profect that turn around fade-A-Way with Dream all summer long... Its a long shot, but Im in Favor.
On the one hand, he has had a good year with Boston. Better than anybody on our current roster except maybe Dragic if you limit his stats only to starting. On the other hand, the dude is almost Father Time. He's not as old as Camby, but then again he'd be asked to play a lot more minutes and play a much more crucial role than Camby. Giving him a 3 or 4 year deal at $10M+ could be scary. I wonder how much he will ask for. Boston may also want him to retire a Celtic. We'll have to see what they do. Obviously they have the inside track if they want him back.
Yes, it would be great if we could sign him. But this isn't really thread worthy, and everybody seems to start acting gay when he is suggested. Because in basketball, your supposed to be really nice and your basketball skills come second to that.
Yeah, I think this was probably the most relevant statement yet. Also, we have too many foreigners and white guys on the team....he wouldn't be able to get out of practice without fighting (and when I saw fighting I mean talking **** and then crawdad'ing back away and into his hole).
Looked like he should have retired earlier on. Was it a slow start because of the lockout or C is his only position now?
Not true. With the PR hit that Dwight took this year and the exasperation with which management had to deal with his trade deadline situation, they may very well choose to side with Van Gundy on this and cut bait if they really think they have no shot at re-signing him again. I agree with Wojnarowski that it's more likely they'll just fire SVG and pander to Dwight until the last possible second when he screws them, but I still just cannot see Dwight staying in Orlando forever. Adidas is breathing down his neck to bail for a bigger market before he can get his Derrick Rose contract with them.
