Really liked the album. Bought Lupe and Raekwons the same day and put in Lupe in first which was the worst decision because I still haven't opened Raekwons......
OOookay! It's by no means a classic but to call it the worst you've heard in a while then you must have been listening to some Eric B and Rakim, some Dre,Pac and Biggie, some Em, some Nas, some NWA and some Raekwon and obviously nothing that came out recently if you feel that was the worst you've heard in a while.

Fool, you don't know my taste in music at all. Just because I don't like Lupe's worst album (by far) doesn't mean that I like pure **** like Lil Wayne and Soulja Boy. Lasers sucked, even Lupe himself admitted the album isn't what he wanted to put out. So you can continue to ride his nuts even when he puts out bad music, and I'll find my good music elsewhere.
I wouldn't say it sucked but it could have been better and it was his labels fault not his. They held his album and put what they wanted to on it. I think I'll listen to the revenge of the nerds mixtape now thanks.
I read somewhere that he was contemplating suicide because he was just so depressed with how he was being treated at Atlantic Records. Now I don't know how bad things may have been for him to consider such a thing but he said it himself in an interview.
Well your post made it sound like you were talking about ANY rap albums out there, as opposed to relative to all of his previous albums. No, it might not be up to the same intellectual and spiritual mastery of his previous albums, but even some of the more pop-ish ones are still pretty legit in my opinion. They're still inspirational to me and songs still speak to me , regardless of all the record label BS during the production

[DOUBLE POST] The only emcees I believe could rap in the same ring as Lupe is: Blu Kendrick has potential Andre 3 Stacks and I'm sure there's more to think of but my head is killing me TBC
