Event he Blazers fans think the team won't offer more than the MLE. The NBA has no lack of good PG's. The Blazers are more interested with Hibbert than Goran

I think it is much more likely that we trade Lowry to Portland for that draft pick than I do that they sign Goran outright. Free agency is a cat and mouse game for the front offices. If they decide to overpay for Goran, we can go ahead and offer Batum $48 million over 4 years or some obsene number and force them to match. They don't want to get into that. Now, if they sign Batum before they sign Dragic, then they've got a clear path to offer Dragic big money and it not hurt them with somebody sneaking in and overpaying for Batum.

portland management finds a way to keep their team competitive despite terrible injuries to two of their supposed "franchise" players (roy was on his way to be something special....). can't believe they'll steal dragic from us

I would glady welcome a sign and trade that nets us Batum for Dragic.

I'm guessing Dragic is going to get around 8 million a year and I personally believe we should be the ones paying it. A Dragic/Lowry/Lee backcourt is pretty darn good.

I wouldn't over pay for Batum tho, I don't consider Batum a significant upgrade over Parsons. It would be wiser to use that money on a center.

The Portland broadcasters stated in the pre-game that they are hearing 6 to 8 million is what he is hearing Dragic is commanding. Later he then said that he might be the starting PG for the Blazers next season. hmmm....

If $6-$8 million is the range, he's worth every penny of that.

If thats what the broadcaster is hearing from members of the front office then thats probably what they are wanting to pay him. All it takes is two teams to outbid each other.

Too bad Morey doesn't play that game for Non Superstars. He puts a value on a player and doesn't budge. He did it with Scola that way. If Dragic is getting $10 million per deals then it's time to say thanks and walk away. No need paying a non allstar money that kind of money when we already have a good, cheap PG in Lowry.

Right now they are paying 7.5 million to Felton. After tonights game do you think for one second they will not happily pay Dragic more. If they can sign Dragic for 8 mil they will change their team colors to the Slovenian flag. Watch after the game if anyone goes up and congratulates him from Portland.

What player did the Rockets ever have that was ever worth out-bidding anyone for since Morey came into town? If they want a player back, they have always got those guys back in free agency.

The free agency game that Morey plays is he goes out publicly to say that they will match any offers they get and trys to get suitors to look elsewhere.

I think you just said it. They will finish paying Felton damn near $8 mil. Now they are going to pay an unproven PG ( hasnt started a full season) that kind of money again? Yea. I think they will be pretty hesitant to say the least,

Trade Lowry, Martin, picks for a top pick and resign Dragic.

Feltons contract was signed in the old CBA. Different times. 8 Million is a mega deal in the new CBA. Still, I think he's going to get it if not more than that if one more team other than the Rockets and Portland want to make him their franchise PG and go on a bidding war.
