Based on what I've been reading. What would ClutchFans rather have. A healthy K-mart perhaps playing with the second unit during the playoffs. Spoiler or A one game special where you earn a free Chick Fil A sandwich if you attend an upcoming game and the Rockets win. Spoiler Debate.
I can go buy a chicken sandwich right now, but the Rockets can't go out and buy a 20+ scorer at the moment. When the playoffs come, we are going to need Half-court firepower, especially if we face the Spurs. They have a loaded bench right now, and it was posted before, but Lee is nullified when playing against a tall 2-guard.
This is basically a Kevin Martin vs Budinger poll, since that's the guy whose minutes would be lost should Martin return. I'm pretty indifferent to it all, so I'll say Martin and let the coach figure out which guy is best suited at backup SG.
Whether you "Like" KMart or not, RocketsMan is 100% right. They are already paying a 20PPG scoring wing. Those dont grow on trees. Chick fil a sandwhiches and the right wing fundamentalists selling it to you arent that rare. Give me Kevin Martin.
Off the bench, he could be a good offensive spark plug. Play him 20 mins a game I'd be happy with that
I'd rather have an 11.5 million chick fil a sandwiches. In all honesty though, we need Kmart playing well to win in the playoffs. He is a guy who can put up 15-30 pts easily, we will need as many scorers as possible when defenses start to bulk up in the playoffs. He doesn't need to put up monsterous numbers to help us, but if he isn't even playing he hurts us because we need that roster spot for people who can give us either 6 fouls or 6 points.
Interesting... K-Mart is a great scorer, he's played some great games for us and seems to work hard. He also comes across as a pretty nice guy. On the other hand, I've never had Chick Fil A and am very curious to try it. I'm gonna go with the sandwich.
We need Martin back. Courtney Lee regularly has these off nights where he can't shoot for sh** and it seems like when that happens, he gets down on himself and his defense suffers. It looks like Martin's shooting problems were from playing through an injury. If he comes back healthy I'm sure he will be able to put the ball in the basket. Anyway, at very least I prefer Martin's one-dimensionality to Budinger's one-dimensionality. They bring similar things to the offense, but Martin draws more fouls, hits more FTs, and makes more contested shots. Neither of them can play defense for crap so that's a wash.
I'd rather have Kevin Martin. Now, if this was for an order of chicken nuggets and a strawberry shake, we might have to revisit the thread.
Are you the CEO of chick fil A? Well yes, I would rather have one sandwhich from chick fil A then have kevin martin for 12 mil a year lol
With only 10 games left it's going to be interesting to see what McHale ends up doing with the rotation once the playoffs start. Do we go with Dragic and the players that played well down the stretch? Does Lowry go back to starting and try to play him with Dragic as the second unit comes in? Does Lee continue to start for defensive purposes? It'll be interesting to watch. My only hope is that Martin doesn't get butt-hurt about losing his spot so he can come in off the bench.
