We should stop with this superstar thing. We have a great team and we should appreciate the hard work of our players.Imagine we would get Carmelo last season. We would talk more about McHale vs Carmelo then Rockets vs the rest of the league.Never sign a superstar just for having one.The kind of superstars we need are rare. We need a superstar with a team first mentality. That means no Lebron,Dwill,Wade and Carmelo I mentioned already.Guys like Durant or Rose would be a good fit but they are loyal to their team.

I don't know about that; Parsons improved every year he was at Florida, and I'm sure there wasn't a dearth of tail for him to run through down in Gainesville. In fact, he ended up winning SEC Player of Year his senior year. Hope he continues that upward trend with an off-season where he can actually work with the team.

I agree that Parsons showed that he is a hard worker in every offseason at UF. Parsons is an adament surfer in the offseason, and Im sure thats he will be doing for a good portion of the summer. Traveling and surfing. Not to worry though, Ive surfed on and off all my life, and its a great endurance athlete type of sport. If thats what he's spending time doing, Im sure he will be in great shape at least. Hopefully he works on his shot with Thorpe in Florida with Lee & Martin. That would probably be the most beneficial thing for him to do.

What? He can get laid whenever he wants to. Has nothing to do with his basketball work outs. The guy is a stud and he will get a lot better. Most guys hit a rookie wall by now. He is going to be an Iguodala (or better) type player

Without superstars, it's hard to win a series when you're always playing 5 on 8.

I think a full summer working with McHale will do wonders for Patrick. His post game is very raw right now and his biggest flaw in the post is his patience and timing. McHale can teach him how to take his time and get up a good shot instead of rushing up everything. This would be huge since it would give the 2nd unit a legit option in the post and being able to run 1/2 court sets or at least not come up empty the majority of the time when Patrick isos in the post.

I think Patrick may have a breakout third season if nothing else sets him back.

There's a fine line as to where a fan's concerns should just stop.

Some people said Kevin McHale simply was a bad coach, they were wrong again. McHale is just good fit for this team, he could be better if we have a star player.

Who cares? You worry about making the playoffs first, then thinking about winning a series. The rockets have not make the playoffs for a while, they need finish the first step.

Why the hate on Martin's personality? Because of the picture? Lame. He is still the same player that called out Morey on calling players assets. He is still the same player that joked with Cuban about how he couldn't beat him one on one without refs. Martin is a great guy, and a 20 ppg scorer. It's just sad he's been hurt this season.

I am wondering this too. Adelman did not get us into the playoffs last year. McHale had to deal with the Gasol deal falling through and missing Lowry and Martin to a large part of the season.

several times this season it looked like the Rockets were about to fall into the abyss and they did not.

If you are satisfied with a team that can make the second round at best, that's fine for you. Most Rocket fans want the team to become a championship contender.

    keep underestimating the Rockets.

Before the season the tanking line was, "are you really satisfied with a team that won't make the playoffs and if they do can't win a 1st round match up"

now that we have proven to be better than that it's "are you satisfied with the 2nd round at best?"

how about we let the team play and stop putting limitations on what they can do?

Actually he is a 17.1 ppg scorer this season and 19 ppg overall without ADELMAN. And we are without Adelman.

    Trade KMart back to Adleman!

I love that the author actually did some research before writing this article.
