I disagree, the Oosthuizen shot was incredibly lucky. Basically all he did was hit the front of the green and the green funneled it 40 yards left and into the hole. Matt Kuchar's lipout for double eagle would have been more impressive to me if it had gone in. Bubba's shot out of the trees was clutch and a shot that vary few others even on the PGA tour could have made.
Anytime anyone makes a double eagle it's incredibly lucky. But, I think it was the shot of the tournament because it's so rare and it happened in the final round of the Masters. The shot also catapulted Oosthuizen into the lead. People still to this day call the double eagle that Gene Sarazen made at the 15th at the 1935 Masters as "the shot heard round the world". The double eagle that Oosthuizen scored today I'm sure will be talked about long after all of us are dead and gone. Great Tournament.
I think Watson's shot was mostly about context here. If Bubba makes that shot during the 2nd round on the 12th hole of the Shell Houston Open, it doesn't get remembered past that day, or even that hole. But on the 2nd playoff hole of the Masters, it's a great shot, almost an impossible shot.

I remember seeing that live yesterday and thinking how awkward. Payne recovered nicely though going straight to the nose scratch.
Sarazen's double eagle led to him winning the tournament, though. It didn't for Oosthuizen. That'll be a big difference in the legacy.
