Okay I recall Collison had some good moments his first two seasons, but what are you guys referring to when you say it was a "Darren Collison effect?"

Like you said, his first couple seasons. Post All-Star his rookie year he averaged 19 ppg, 8.7 assists and very high shooting percentages.

Darren Collison had some fans on the NO Hornets Message Boards back in the day claiming that they should trade CP3 for young talent, and picks, and build around Collison. Once teams scout you better, the game gets a lot harder.. Collison has had a game like any of those his rookie year. Because teams have more tape on you. It also is helping Gogi.. that this is a lockout season If you guys expect Dragic to put up triple double numbers for the rest of his career (then you are guys are sadly mistaken). Darren Collison is his rookie year had an unbelievable strecth from February through April while CP3 was injured kinda like Lowry now.
And no Dragic is not a top 5 PG He has put in the work, liek the others have, and his numbers on the season pale in comparison. Yes he has had good numbers as a starter. But thats just a handful of games, and it would be fair to put him above somebody who has put in the effort and numbers all season
The Darren Collison comparison is terrible. Even when Dragic's shot isn't falling, he provides value with his defense and hustle. He also has 4 inches and 20 pounds on Collison. He's better than Collison in every way. Also, just FYI, Collison isn't a bad player. He's okay. Not anywhere near Lowry/Dragic level, but he's not the worst starting PG in the NBA.
Also, the "lol guyz once they scout Dragic they will stop him" excuse is weak, weak, weak. Dragic has been in the league for 5 years. He's no raw rookie. He even played on the national stage and burned one of the best teams in the NBA. Teams KNOW what he can do, if they could stop him so easily, they already would be.

Game was a FLUKE. A bunch of 3's... thats nice. Ive seen Michael Redd have a game like that againist the Rockets. You are acting like that type of stuff happens every game. That is a FLUKE And im not a even a Spurs Fan.. BTW even if the Suns lost that game, The Spurs were done that year. Everybody in the league knew that was the year the Suns were gonna beat the Spurs in the playoffs
Collison is a terrible comparison, just saying he had a good streak too. I don't think Lowry, Dragic, or Lin are flukes. Although they are all career backups.
The Lakers arent the same team, the Bulls didnt have Derrick Rose, and have already clinched a playoff spot.. so their was nothing for them to play for The Rockets were basically playing for a playoff spot, and the Bulls had already clinched. And even without Derrick Rose the Rockets barely won. The Thunder game was also a fluke, Westbrick took the ball out of Harden's hands when he was killing us. Bynum gets ejected in both games againist us. A lot of freaky stuff has been happening and setting us up nicely in some of these wins. I dont wanna call us lucky. But in the case of some of these wins ...the Kings comeback where PPat hits the jumper to tie the game, and Parsons could be sucking all game.. and then hit some lucky 3 out of nowhere in the late stages. But hey im not complaining. This team reminds me a lot of the 94 team in terms of having a never die attitude Are we gonna give all the teams success to Dragic when Morey is the one that acquired Marcus Camby and has helped us defensively. Lowry has never played with Camby Dragic is a good player, but is being overhyped
LOLat Soccer why are you such a hater. Dragic is no fluke he has been in the league for quite a while and should flashes of greatness whenever he got significant playing time. So it is not "just a handful of games" as you say he has been doing this his whole career.
OK Clutch, but you have to admit that all 3 are solid players I dont hate Dragic. I have even said i think we should keep him over Lowry. My thing is, we cant just minimize some of the moves Morey has made. Including probably the best move that no one around the league is talking about... our acquistion of Marcus Camby.. which in terms put us in the playoffs.. Their is not one superstar player on this team, and thats what makes it so much fun to watch.. a bunch of guys playing hard for one common goal
I never said Dragic was a bad player. I think Dragic is a solid player. But a top 5 PG.. i cant put him there. Not even Lowry is a Top 5 PG And also, Dragic has barely played 3 full months as a starter in his whole 5 year NBA Career. So we still have to see, how the league adjust to him. The lockout is also helping Gogi, but Dragic is also a very smart good PG
Yes, you're right. I miscounted because his 10-11 season is split between Phoenix and Houston. But, four or five, it makes no difference, the point stands.
Sometimes I don't even think you are a fan of the Rockets. Dragic, overhyped since when, Lin was all hype. And the Tunder game was not a fluke Parsons and Lee came out very big, Since when are the Lakers a different team they still got thier big three and the Bulls have been play very good assuming Rose was out.
