^ yeah but he's consistent...and runs PG good Lowry is Good and takes alot of shots as well..even when hes off but I dont know man...they're both really good....crazy situation..just need to stop worrying and let morey do his thing i dont think morey just gonna let him walk off easily. and gragic seem to love it here really much so tahts a good thing.
The thing is Lowry played heavy minutes... you could say McHale didn't trust Gogi enough.... so I am willing to watch both guards around 24 minutes or more evenly split minutes 29 minutes Lowry 19 Gogi
That's true, but Lowry compensated with more rebounds and his efficiency is right at the top of PG's then. What I'm more concerned is the consistency. I think Lowry/Dragic/Lin are almost equally impressive during their first 10-15 starts this season. That's ridiculous. Out of the three, we have more data on Lowry and Lowry's been consistently good and improving over the years both as backup and starter. Time will tell.
Wayyyyyyy too premature. He's good, but again look at Lin. ESPN was ready to annoint him as the second coming of Christ after 10 games.
That being said, I really hope Dragic stays here and continues to succeed. I just don't have any delusions that he's ready to punch in 5 straight All-Star appearances yet.
Patience, especially after the Jeremy Lin thing. This has happened before especially at the PG position. As I said with Lin and I will say now....Basketball is like any other sport...just like in Baseball guys can get hot for a stretch of games...so hot at times that they look like a elite player for that stretch of time. Lets wait awhile...he's not been a starter long enough to say one way or the other.
Funny you bring up Collison. I remember when he was playing for an injured Paul and put up nice numbers
Best point guards for your franchise 1. Derrick Rose 2. Chris Paul 3. Deron Williams 4. Tony steal your girlfriend Parker.../ tied with Russel Westbrook 5. Rajon Rondo or Lowry or Darth Dragic or Steve still got it Nash
Dragic is playing as well as any player in the NBA today. He may not have earned top 5 status. But he's definitely in my top 10 and rising. He bottlenecked Ramon Sessions the other night. He gave Westbrook fits, tore Conley to smithereens, beat up on Irving, and gave Chris Paul fits and would've beaten him if not for some cheap calls down the stretch. Dragic is very, very good.
I wouldn't quit say Dragic is a top 5 pg currently. I'm starting to feel he has a better chance of being an elite pg than Lowry. And the more I watch Dragic play, he is just more exciting to watch, more skilled and physically gifted than Lowry (flashy passes, behind the back dribbles, dunks, etc.)
I just thought of something interesting. In what ways are those other pgs better than dragon? Not in many ways...
I lean this way. Generally, good defense survives the offensive ups and downs that most scorers go through, and Goran has really impressed me with his D. He's got length, he's quick, a high motor, and he has good instincts. Every once in a while, he gets a bit out of control, but that's more because of his effort, IMO. Not top 5 as a point, though. He has to prove that over time, as would Kyle.
Ramon Sessions Brandon Jennings Darren Collison Kyle Lowry Jeremy Lin We've seen the hot surges before. Dragic is going from a Steve Francis type average ballhandling turnover machine combo guard into a reliable point. He does have some good playmaking when he drives and dishes. You look up and Dragic is shooting .444 FG% and .371 3pt% for his career. Thats what you want out of a point..
