Dragic is playing very well, but top 5 that sounds absurd. This is a small sample size, but it is what I could find. Over the past 10 games he is playing like a top 5 point guard in the entire nba. It could be the Darren collision effect, but dragic is big guard, is super fast with the ball, and a great shooter. Also the people who say rondo is just slightly above average are crazy. <style type="text/css"> table.tableizer-table {border: 1px solid #CCC; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;} .tableizer-table td {padding: 4px; margin: 3px; border: 1px solid #ccc;} .tableizer-table th {background-color: #104E8B; color: #FFF; font-weight: bold;} </style> <table class="tableizer-table"> <tr class="tableizer-firstrow"><th>No</th><th>Player</th><th>G</th><th>Min</th><th>Pts</th><th>Reb</th><th>Ast</th><th>Stl</th><th>Blk</th><th>To</th><th>Pf</th><th>Dreb</th><th>Oreb</th><th>Fgm-a</th><th>Pct</th><th>3gm-a</th><th>Pct</th><th>Ftm-a</th><th>Pct</th><th>eff</th></tr> <tr><td>1</td><td>C. No Darren Collison effect. Collison was an unproven rookie while Gogi has proven he can play at a high level over the years, he is just now getting consistent starters minutes, that's all.
Not yet. Rose Cp3 Williams Rondo Westbrook Parker In no particular order are better than Dragic. However if he can keep this consistency through next season, he might have a case.
Come on... he is good but take off your homer glasses.... that will only steepen his price AS IF it's not high enough yet......
There have been many, many point guards that have put up star level production for half a season or more. Only to revert back to career average later on. If Dragic is a top 5 PG, so is Jeremy Lin.
In Lowry's first 10 games this season, he's top 1 or 2 in efficiency and near triple double every night. Dragic is great recently, but before that his entire career is inconsistent with flashes of excellance.
I agree.... Paul and Deron did it for 4, 5 seasons Gogi has do the same.... to be considered in the Top 5 or Top 3.
This. 260 games played, 25 starts, 17 of which were this season. In his starts his FG% is up 7% and 3FG% is up 5%. If he keeps those starter %s up we might have something. But we should not get ahead of ourselves, let's just enjoy the run and see how things play out.
These last 20 games have obviously been a hot streak for him, I'd like to see what he does after he cools down and evens out. Definitely has the potential but I'm not ready to proclaim him top 5 yet.
Lowry from the stats that I have looked up has never put up a game score of over 10 for 10 consecutive games. He also never put 50-40-80 over 10 games.
to me, what stands out (just from statistical standpoint) is that he's shooting 3s at a very high percentage - 44.5%. i would love this number to stay around that, but i gotta think it'll eventually come down a little.
He is definitely playing great but I think his numbers are little weighted, Without a goto scorer and undermanned we've had to depend on him more. I expect him to come back down to earth when Lowry returns. And if we ever get a go to guy his stats will drop even more. Rose, DWill and CP3 score so much not just cause they can but because they have to. Goran isn't quite the scorer they are but one of the things I find most impressive is how much better he is shooting than the other stars. And he gets to the line almost as much. Those things should hold up as a starter even if his shots drop down.
he is playing like one right now, which is what really matters. =) I think his shooting is on a hot streak, like nba jam style...i've seen smoke come out when he shoots the three. But his court vision, ability to finish and the way he never stop his dribble that doesn't go away. Maybe if he and lowry had been top 2 picks everyone would be jerking them and feeling good about the future. =/
Maloney, B.Price, Brooks then Lowry......now Dragic....smh.. It's funny how these bench players play great when thrown into the starting lineup, and get big contracts... Then next thing you know they get injured, their backups play better, then are benched or traded a year later... ... The Circle of Life of a Rockets PG
If you want to play the game..... Dragic never scored over 30 this shortened season Dragic never had made 7 threes a season Dragic never had games of 5 offensive boards Dragic never had games of over 15 assists Dragic never stealed the 6 times in a game Dragic never blocked 4 times in a game
