He does not hold back the Lakers. Do you really think the Lakers would be a better team without Kobe? You have to take him with his strengths and his flaws. As a whole he does more good than harm over the course of a season.
Of course, as long as you choose to exclude the biggest moments that he didn't come up big in (04 Finals, 06 1st round, 08 Finals, last postseason, and arguably G7 of 2010 Finals). Those were all big moments too. I will say he has led a team to 3 Finals and 2 titles, and there aren't many players that can say that.

Without him out there drawing attention night in and night out to open up bynum and gasol. This laker team would be on the out side looking into the playoff. It's not him it's the coaching. Mike brown can't coach for S***. His ideal offense is to give the ball to his best player and let him run it which is why kobe is hurting his shot this year when everything was easy for him in the triangle offense under phil. Not just him but for everybody else also. So if you want to point the blame game it's mike brown. His coaching style might work back then when he was with cleveland but that was during the leastern years.
True, honestly this wasn't supposed to be a Kobe bashing thread, I was just trying to point out that Bynum is a monster on offense and was being under-utilized. Yea, I noticed that watching Laker games this year. Brown has terrible offensive sets if any. It's really Kobe or nothing, he needs to find a better way to utilize Sessions quickness and Pao's passing from the high post. Kobe has been sh***ng on this thread for a few games recently hopefully that doesn't happen tonight!

Mr Drama Diva wants to send a message. He didn't like that they didn't consult Kobe about the coaching hiring. He didn't like the Lamar trade. He doesn't like that they went away from the triangle offense. So he wants to send a message by playing his way.
jordan hardly made his teammates better, just saying, pippen got 2nd or 3rd in mvp voting when jordan left, and team almost made to the finals w/out him, sort of the same thing with kb though
Kobe had a solid game with 28 points on 20 shots, while Bynum showed he's still super immature, gathering 5 turnovers before getting ejected.
The Lakers have 3 games left against the Spurs (2 in SA) and another with OKC. 6/10 are on the road. It's possible they don't have home-court in the first round. That would be sweet! :grin:
6-24. In Game 7 of the NBA Finals. He was literally being compared unfavorably to John Starks in that game.
He had a decent game but not one time did he create for another teammate. I get the ball and get out the way.
He also pulled down 15 rebounds and 10 pts in 4th quarter and led a team from 13 points down to a comeback win. Who cares the shooting % when you get the misses back?
