Based on today's standings, it looks like we're headed for a first round matched with one of these teams (barring a late season slide of course). We have played both of these team extremely well this season, so I must ask: Which of these teams would give us our greatest odds of making it to round 2? I'd rather see them play the Lakers since they seem so dysfunctional/combustible. Not to mention their 4 game flame-out against Dallas a year ago. Though we seem to play OKC really well, their youth and athleticism scares me over a 7 games series. I also think Durant is going to have his best playoff campaign this year. Thoughts?
I like beating the Lakers more, so LA please. Then in the 2nd round when the Thunder are more over-confident...... Well you catch my drift.
No SA? I think we split the season series but all the games were close. I think we'd match up better since we're more athletic and finally have some bigs to slow down Duncan.
the lakers are the last team i would want to face in the west in the playoffs. just too big. followed by the thunder and the clippers. so my answer to this poll is the thunder
Yes, by 1 point. It's not like Rockets outplayed Thunder. Why Rockets have no change beating OKC: 1. Free throws. They are the best free throw shooting team at 80% and they are averaging 26 freethrows a game(2nd best in the league) 2. Rebounds. OKC is on of the top rebounding team, because everyone rebounds - Centers, forwards and guards(Westbrook is best PG rebounder). 4. Blokcs. Best blocking team in the NBA, which give them boost and easy transition points. 5. Fans. Probably the loudest arena in the NBA it will be mission impossible to steal their home court advantage. 6. James Harden. He is the most consitant 3rd scoring option. He was in sigle digits only twice this season. And his scoring is totally independent of Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant.
A lot of great points here. Were were leading the Lakers when Bynum was still in the game so can't really say one way or another what would have happened had he stayed in. We lack a lop post scoring threat inside other than Scola so the Thunder scare me a bit with Perkins and Iblocka. I want no part of Popovich and the Spurs. Just too much experience and they always bring it.
I still think the Thunder. We've been able to win against a Lakers team which keeps losing Bynum for the crucial end of the game. Will that happen in the playoffs? I'm not counting on it. Laker frontline can abuse us if Bynum plays a full 36 minutes.
