I think we'd actually be getting robbed to give up Lowry and get only Jefferson. Keep in mind, Jefferson only has 1 year left on his contract, and it's at $14M. I'd probably want one of their lottery picks as well. Furthermore, I don't know if I like the idea of a Scola/Jefferson frontcourt. Not a lot of defense there. If somebody will give us a first rounder for Scola, maybe we could trade him and start Jefferson in his place. Dragic Lee/Martin Parsons/Bud Jefferson/Pat Camby/Dalembert
Yeah, but that 14M is coming off the books; if they'd do Jefferson and a pick, I'd be all for that. It allows financial flexibility to sign FAs during that particular summer.
If we could get this kind of play more often we could be dangerous. Obvious but damn we looked sharp tonight.
Of course Jazz would do it but why the hell would we do it? Jefferson makes 14M and is basically Scola with a more polished post game and an inferior jumpshot. With the new CBA 14M is around max territory already, pass on that guy. Rather than that, I'd trade Lowry for Favors straight up. Favors is developing quite nicely and has had some really good games for the Jazz this year. I think he'd be the perfect fit alongside DMO as our twin towers of the future.
Jefferson is a bull in the paint, and can actually be a go to player everytime down the court, currently scola is the only one on the team with ability to post up. Jefferson is also decent defensively, and as someone posted above(not sure if true) his 14M would come off the books.
Just got back from Staples what a great win. I saw only one other Rockets jersey there. Everyone was saying **** to me before the game but after I was trolling through the Staples hallways and not a peep was said to me. SO DAMN AWESOME Asked Kyle after the game if he is coming back soon he said not sure but it's looking better and he is hopeful.
Damn I missed the game. Glad Rockets won. Thanks Goran Somebody has to pay Goran for his effort this season.
Our overall record is deceiving b/c of all the different combinations of players we've had this season. I thought we were doing great with Lowry playing out of his gourd, and picking up some size in Dalembert. But, wow. Goran, who knew? And adding Camby. Heck, Boykins is also playing quite well. Lee is so solid, and Chase has been fitting in nicely. Parsons, again, wow - getting better every game. Martin is much maligned, but certainly if he heals up, he can contribute. Its tough, we've had such good combinations, it'll be tough if everyone is healthy how it will all fit together. Oh, but can you imagine if it all fits together nicely. Possibly playoff advancement.
lol I was watching the highlight where dalembert got the put back slam off the courtney lee miss on the fastbreak and the description said it was kevin martin who missed it. Seems courtney and kevin are twins
