most interesting thing is how you guys say the media on Kobe's jock. Espn the most watched hates the guy, they always emphasize and run it on the front page when he screws up. True hoop goes out of their way to prove that kobe is overrated. The only guys who put kobe high up within the media are the former players who I trust more than freaking Abbot or Holinger, but yea they are convinced lebron is having the greatest season in the history, if all you look at is stats, he is. I don't get how you overlook a guy who shys away and can't perform in the clutch, when things get heated he has time again showed weakness and lack of comfort there and that is apart of greatness. They follow a stat in PER that puts Rondo as the 15th best pg in the league...that says rubio is not in the top 30 so shouldn't be starting essentially....those holes just can't be overlooked

Well isn't that what superstars are for, win you more games than lose you? The problem with Kobe's fans has always been that they only remember the glory moments and forget how many games he has lost.

Last night, he missed several shots in crunch time, lost a turnover, directly resulting the Rockets come back. But fans won't remember that because he also made a few brilliant plays afterward. And of course, he missed a game tying 3, and fans also won't remember that because they only remember the dramatic game winners.

Don't like Kobe the person but he is one amazing basketball player; at least in the same class as Jordan. The guy has some points, but you can pick on Jordan's game as well. Nobody is perfect, but Jordan and Kobe come close. Dream should be in the conversation as well. May be the more complete player because he did so many things well.

U can't find 10 better players that have played in the nba who are better than both Kobe and Lebron, it's not possible. You ppl are crazy I doesn't matter if ur a Kobe fanboi or a Lebron nuthugger you should appreciate watching both of them play as there 2 of the best to ever do it. If you hate the Kobe or Lebron because he's on another team that's fine I'm the same way, but I would still take either right now over anyone on the rockets roster.

Kobe 16 yr career has went as good as any player that ever played could hope for so if that is overrated than so is Lebron and every other player not named Jordan if he's the tip of the ice berg. 5 championships 1 reg MVP 2 finals MVP and is top 5 or 6 in scoring all time u guys are delusional if you think he's overated.

Lebron over his 9 year career has won 2 reg MVP (probable 3rd this yr) has one of the highst per. In league history and is a great defender. Has led his team to 2 finals and had a legit chance of winning 3 rings in the next 3 seasons. One again if this is overated u guys are delusional.

When it's all said and done I expect the top three player to ever have played to be Jordan Kobe and Lebron in no order and Lebron will most likely have the least championships out of all three but that doesn't mean he's not as good as Jordan and Kobe. Like some say take the eyeball test and if u still doubt the stats and credentials back it up for both Kobe and Lebron to be in the same category as Jordan. That's not a slight at Jordan and I'm not saying Kobe an. Lebron are better I'm just saying that they both deserve to be in that class.

I'm a Kobe fan but I disagree with this.

    (in no particular order):
    Dr34m
    Michael Jordan
    Magic Johnson
    Larry Bird
    Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
    Wilt Chaimberlin
    Bill Russell
    Shaquille O'Neal
    Tim Duncan
    Moses Malone

    Found them!

I'd take out Malone, add in Big O or maybe even Kobe.

I'm sorry but wilt is the most overrated player of all time. A 7 something footer in a league full of 5ft ers. Overrated. Gets too much credit

And how are you not gonna put hakeem in that list. Seriously
In his prime he had no flaws for a center

I will admit that I was not alive when Big Mo was dominating but watching video of him, researching him is the reason why I'd put him there.

The guy played 22 seasons of professional basketball, won 3 MVPs ( : eek: )putting him in an elite class of players (obviously the other players to accomplish that is on my list). At his peak he was a 30/15 guy along with 1.5 BPG+ and 1 SPG+. Those are absolutely monster statistics.

Also a great postseason performer winning a Finals MVP and taking a sub-500 Rockets team to the finals.

When did Bill Russell, Bob Pettit, Walt Bellamy become 5-footers?

False. He's not even in the same class as Hakeem, Kareem, or Shaq just to name a few.

Blame this on Bynum. Kobe did OK.

The Lakers bench is just awful. Give Matt Barnes credit for playing hard but he just isn't very good. None of Barnes/Blake/McRoberts is worthy of being a rotation player on a contender.
