Good for him. I honestly think that had we not released him, he would have continued to suck. When we released him, it was a wake up call for him. He quit Twitter ( !!!!! ), started to work harder, earned a 10-day contract and made the most of it. When he was here, he never showed improvement. He finally earned playing time only to play like garbage and then skip a practice getting him back in the doghouse. He was terrible here. Releasing him was the right move as he was only holding us back with his antics/attitude.
They did themselves a favor by cutting the guy. Have you seen what he tweets? His behavior is unacceptable. I mean if you aren't going to use the guy then cut him and give him an opportunity somewhere else. Certainly others would also view the Rockets' actions as quite player friendly don't you think so?

Better correct that "you're" before someone tries pulling that one. But back to the topic - I'm still not entirely sure how T-Will didn't get at least some burn on this team. But after two coaches found him not suitable....I gotta put it back on him. And I have been one of his most ardent supporters since day 1. But we just weren't quite bad enough to look past whatever issues he apparently exhibits behind closed doors and just play him. I still think he can be successful, unfortunately it couldn't be for us....
Yes, he has talent and yes he can put up numbers on a bad team that lacks discipline, cohesiveness and clearly defined roles. I could see this coming a mile away.... lets see how he does when he is expected to run particular plays, defer to players and have spacing.

One of the announcers during last night's game said he asked Williams if his struggles and then getting waived has taught him anything. Williams, the announcer claimed, replied, "Shut up and play basketball." Would've been nice if he could have reached that maturity with the Rockets. Anyway, Williams is steadily improving, but he looks to still be trying to find his level of play. Last night, he played "outside of himself" and made mistakes that pretty much cancelled out his good play. But instead of an instant benching, Smart let him play through it. Williams might develop into a prime time, Swiss army knife player, but meanwhile he is still learning to fit his talent into a role. Meanwhile, he has brought better ball movement to the Kings.
The problem was he didn't fit in right away. Rather than work to do so, he made up his mind that he'd be elsewhere soon and just had to ride it out. Meanwhile, others had his position were improving and it buried him deeper on the bench, which annoyed him because he knew he was more talented. He was just going through the motions for most of the season. There's nothing a team can do when someone is that hard headed and has made up their mind, other than changing up the whole offense for him, which wasnt going to happen. You see this all the time with kids, whether it's organized ball or on the playground. They dont like their team or situation, so they hold back and ride out the game or quit. Unfortunately, some adults still have the same mindset. You can clearly see he's trying harder with the Kings. He's got the same moves, same dribble, but he's now going 100%. He used to play on his heels here, but now he's playing on his toes.
