They have been pretty good at finding NBA talent late in the first round and in the 2nd.

What they have been pretty poor at is recognizing "DIFFERENCE" making talent once they get on their own practice floor.

They should have seen that Dragic could break out, they should have seen that Lin was a good NBA player - they should have seen that TWill was nothing special, certainly not worth giving up a 1st round pick for.....

Their drafting seems to be pretty good, their talent evaluation once they get in the league, suspect.

^^^Looking at how good Dragic is justifies letting Lin go away for nothing. Lin is a good player, but he's not near Lowry and Dragic in skill.

Your logic is extremely short sided and frankly confusing.

No difference making talent has walked away from here.

Lin is not a good NBA player, he had a good start in Dantoni's PG driven offense but soon after fell down to Earth and became extremely ineffecient, before ultimately being injured. He got hyped, then soon after exposed.

How it is you are somehow critical of the organization for not recogonizing Dragic as a good talent, when they traded for him and he is currently starting for the team is baffling.

As for Twill, he was talented. Perhaps in thier scouting they felt like there werent going to be any good players out of the lottery in this draft and the pick was a detriment from a salary standpoint?

Your criticism here feel like nit picking and looking for things to not like, rather than celebrating our successs in the drafting/scouting department.

    Larvs,

I hate the "No extensions" policy, I believe it drives players away, and makes the organization seem cheap.

Lowry had to sign with CLEVELAND for cryout out loud to get paid, Luis had to threaten to go to Europe....

Players around the league understand this.....I guarantee you they would rather be appreciated by an org, and I don't like the way Morey does business.

It is a people profession, and our org treats people too much like stocks.....and IMO, that hurts them a lot.
