What's the point of having a Golf channel if your not even going to show the actual golfing? The Masters has already started and the Golf channel is doing a coverage show where I've seen more footage of Rory Mclory warming up than the actual live action.
They don't have the rights to live action. ESPN today and tomorrow. CBS on the weekend. Tiger off to a decent start. 2 under through 12, 3 shots back of current leader Henirik Stenson.
I have a bet with my roommate that a Korean will finish ahead of a Swede (he's Norwegian and I'm Korean). Was getting nervous with Stenson but good too see he's F'd it up. Go KJ! Go YE!
Disastrous tee shot on 18, had really no play at all as he was drowning in pine needles. Slammed his club into the dirt in frustration after barely getting it back into the rough. Had a relatively easy putt for triple bogey but was obviously too flustered by then and bricked that too.
So we've expanded our bet to "An Asian will finish ahead of a Scandinavian", him picking up Bjorn and me picking up Matsuyama. What do y'all think of the bet? How's KJ looking? I'm pretty much just banking on Choi and Yang.
I hear ya..but geez, no coverage at all until 3p.m. Seems like the time before 3 could absolutely be covered on Golf or elsewhere..then switch over to ESPN/CBS for the afternoon hours. That's not exactly unprecedented in sports.
Augusta National controls it tightly. They keep you wanting more I guess. Not too long ago you never saw the front nine But there are streaming options, phone apps as well if you want to watch earlier I'll be watching at work on my iphone
Today's viewing schedule. Tiger will be a featured group http://www.cbssports.com/golf/blog/...rs-featured-groups-and-tv-schedule-for-friday
I put $500 on Tiger last week while in Vegas. At least it makes it more interesting to watch for me. I think he'll be there in the end.
I put something on him and watson, unless tiger can get to at least -2 or -3 under today on the back 9, hes done... Hope I am wrong and we can both win something.
You can watch it here: http://www.masters.com/en_US/scores/index.html Find Stenson, expand his scorecard and then click on his score for the 18th from Round 1.
