We have a coach, who is in natural order supposed to control the team and thats how the basketball system works. You have to keep the team united under the game plan and coach's vision. He is definitely abonoxious, annoying, and a perfectionist, but his only agenda is to win.

We have the star player, one of the most gifted played in the league, best Center in the league. Does not want to be screamed at, he is obviously more useful in terms of winning and fan seats, called out his teammates saying he can't win with this squad and needs changes, then says everyone knows its all business and they are fine. Want to be an actor as well.

    Who do you choose?

If I'm an owner and I knew firing Stan would keep Dwight... SURRRAYYYY. They'll both be gone by the season opener next year anyways.

Firing the coach is the only move the Magic CAN do that may or may not make Dwight happy. It's not like they can make any trades to get him another star.

I would choose Dwight, unless he is determined to leave after 1 yr anyway.

They should have just traded Howard before the deadline.

If I'm the owner, I pick Dwight Howard. And I'd hate myself for it.

I would pick Stan. There is no way you are going anywhere with this roster and while Dwight is insane, I still think he has to leave next year.

Its not just Stan, Jameer Nelson needs to go as well. They need an elite PG who can make scoring opportunities easier for Dwight every night.

Stan. One is better than none.

So you fire Stan to appease Dwight in the short term, Dwight is no guarantee to stay and you end up losing both.

Ask Utah about that. Deron "forces" Sloan out, Williams ends up getting traded.

But maybe it's actually best they tear all that down. Dwight, Stan, the dumbass GM Otis Smith, all of them. A mess, a circus.

realistically, if I am the owner and thinking pureley about winning and selling ticketes, I suck it up and fire stan, but if my main thing is principle and running a place with some proper order(thunder, spurs) then I stand behind Stan and don't give dwight special services.

The team has to pick Howard. SVG is the one who publicly aired private conversations.

There are a lot of people in the NBA (coaches, players, owners) who would be humiliated by having their dirty laundry thrown out to the public. This includes SVG.

SVG had enough, dwight is the one who went trade demand, ssying the team isn't good enough ,did his little flip flop dance all in public. he literally ruined a good team chemistry, tec, he destroyed Van gundy's chance to have power. I think SVG is wrong in going public because I thinka ll should be done in house, but dwight put him in a position where I just sympathise, if you are a coach and you are not allowed to even be negative or scream at certain players, can't execute your game plan, watch your star call everyone out and ruin the team trust and you can't earn their trust bc you are powerless to stand upto him....at thist point hell its time to just say it.
I wish mike brown called out lebron too. These guys deserve to be exposed as the little divas they are and what they do to the functioning and how a team works with coach, dynamics, power, etc

I think he's just annoyed that the Miami situation seems to be repeating itself. He's decided that this time he's not going to cover for others just so they don't look bad.

Thats the thing, MJ and Jordan lefti tot on the court, Took it all into practice. They weren't complaining about wanting to goto a bigger market, they weren't thinking of thow they could be in a hollywood film, they weren't thinking of marketing, and they sure as hell weren't complaining because the coaches 'negativity' impacted them and they didn't want to be screamed at or criticized. That is why I differentiate about Dwight and Lebron from Mj, Kobe, Magic and the other guys who weren't happy. those 3 had one thing in mind, winning. Lebron and dwight were handed the GM keeys, screwed up, didn't want to be crticize and mask it up as winning...big difference its not always what you do, its how you do it.

lebron kept his mouth shut leading up to his free agency and just played basketball.

nowhere near what dwight is doing.
