I've exhausted every online resource I can to recover my hacked facebook account in addition to following all of the recovery methods recommended on there for the past week.

Is this an impossible task?? 3000 "friends" think I sell sneakers and a few people were hit up for money.

I have a nice facebook following here in Indy and can't notify anyone that I'm here! Plus, I do a national radio show tomorrow with no account to send listeners to.

Sorry for the vent, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not a recovery method but can't you start another Facebook account and continually write on your old wall to at least get out that (1) your Facebook was hacked and you don't sell sneakers, and (2) where to listen to you, see you, etc. until you get all your friends back on your new account.

Lots of work, clearly... But I have no other solutions.

On a related note, someone keeps opening facebook accounts with my email addy, Indian type of accounts. And opening accounts with other Indian related websites (habib Indian, not sitting bull Indian).

All wall posts have to be approved. Those are great all great suggestions tho.

There is only a recorded message.

Thanks but if it was that easy, I wouldn't be asking for help.

OK. Thought you hadn't seen that. Try "http://www.facebook.com/hacked/". Check your email after that. Change your password, maybe?
^ THIS was the first thing that came to mind...

Can you define what "hacked" means to you?

Can you still log in to the FB account and post things, delete things, etc.?

If you CAN, change your password.
If you cannot, then I'm afraid you'll have to "RESET" your password (check your email!).

    Stop clicking on P0RN, sir.
I know it's difficult... I tried, but I couldn't... I apologize for continuing to try to help you and--WHOA, that looks awesome on that Best *SS thread... let me click...

Good one. I'm sure he hasn't tried that one yet.

Sorry to hear this, AB. Hopefully you've at least got some good material out of all this.

I can't log in. It's all alot more difficult you'd think. The hacker has changed the email address to the account, otherwise I would have immediately changed the password. The only place fb can send the link to another pw is to the person that has taken over my account. I've tried to change the email address by using my username and now the account is "temporarily unavailable". It's a nightmare.

Oh wow. I see it's a lot more difficult now.

Then WE, the undersigned, must UNITE to combat the impostor. Should we all who have access to send messages to you, message each other and "leave" your old account? ;)

    UNITED WE STAND.

We can't just sit here and let this #$(*&^@ happen to you. Granted, ima_ and I can continue to provide some material for you in the meantime... but... is there a way to contact all the peeps in your "old" FaceBook? Have the FB peeps just close it.

AND SO... such is the price to pay.

What happened after you did the "Secure Your Account" procedure?
Because I'm trying to help A.B. recover his account, sir.

I'd been thinking of a lead-in for my radio interview... and clearly this is it. I'll also add how stupid my friends think I must be for not just changing my password. ;)
