Two back to back losses to the Spurs followed by a loss to us could pretty much break them considering how young they are. Although Phoenix lost Grant Hill, I would consider them 50/50 games, since they're still in the race, and this could be Nash's last games as a Sun, he'll give it his all.
Yeah, I said the same thing earlier in the thread (about it being between us and Utah). I would love for you to be right, but I don't count the game in Sacramento as "easy" with the way the Kings are playing. Hollinger had us and Utah both finishing with 34 wins - before tonight's games. Easy to say "if" this time of year, but if we win last night's game and Felton doesn't commit two late turnovers (they gave one to Batum, but Felton was as responsible) and Portland hangs on, I'd feel a lot better about our chances. Thinking about driving in for that April 11th game vs. Utah (live about an hour north of Dallas...lol)
Also, Devin Harris left with a sprained ankle tonight. Wouldn't hurt my feelings at all if he's out for awhile. Also, Marcus Thornton left the game with an injured calf. I know T-Will will likely get those minutes and love nothing more than to stick it to us, but I like my chances with him taking big shots at crunch time as opposed to Thornton....lol.
@ LAL (L) @ SAC (W) @ POR (W) vs UTA (W) vs PHX (W) @ DEN (L) vs DEN (W) @ DAL (W) @ NO (W) vs GS (W) @ MIA (L) vs NO (W) I actually think any of these games are winnable down the stretch, with or without Klow/Kmart, but Miami towards the end of the season will be the toughest. I think we could be the Lakers, but its in LA and thats a tough one. Utah and PHX will be tough, but I think if we play like we have been we can take them down. The Denver games....ugh, how will this go? It'd be HUGE if we can take both, but I see a home split. With playoffs coming... those home games will be wild. Then there's Dallas. I think its time. They keep getting past us, even when we start with big leads. Screw Terry, I think we can pull one out and surprise people. The last 4 should go 3-1... for an ending record of 38-28. If we can get our guards back I def see this happening. Its idealism at its finest, but some of those losses could be wins, and some of the wins could be losses so who knows? Too bad we cant pull off 40 wins, that'd be sweet - not gonna win out the end of the season tho. Hopefully NO will just lay down so we can count those as wins. GO ROCKETS!
That game against Utah will be the decider..hopefully spurs can help us out back to back...blazers killed us today...took some luster off our win in.Chicago but if we take care of business we should slip in to 7th or 8th...
7th??? I just hope for 8th right now.... Let the GAMES begin... or at least be PLAYED. You have the right attitude though. ZZpot. GO ROCKETS!!
It's all in our own hands since we're in the playoffs, last year we were on the outside looking for a long time, just waiting for the Grizzlies to lose. It's up to us to win games against Denver, Utah, Phoenix and all the others. No excuses! I wish I could be more sure if this team, it's up and down every time. Win, loss, win, loss. It's time to get a streak going although vs. Lakers in LA is going to be tough as hell. We're going to play 5 on 8 for sure.
I'm pulling for Phoenix. I know they're playing well, but they're schedule is TOUGH. Just feel it's easier for Utah to catch us (and/or Denver) than it is for Phoenix.
The j*zz are scoring at will... CMON Phoenix Apparently Utah has the 3rd hardest schedule among playoff contending teams and Phoenix has the hardest
What a great night..Denver loses and Utah too!!!!...I'm hoping we make it of.course and.Sun's....I love Steve Nash...he deserves the playoffs but not at our expense...I'm hoping jazz and nuggets are out...
Phoenix was very lucky at the end of the game. Utah played great defense but Frye and Nash hit a couple of ridiculous shots.
In case any of you were watching the LAL/LAC game, JVG gave us some love, talking about how the Rox are coming to LA this Friday, and had a great win over OKC and a comeback win over CHI. Yay for 10 seconds of national coverage!
Yeah, I almost lost it when Gordon fumbled the inbounds pass. That would have iced the game for New Orleans. Yet another example of why there are no "easy" or "gimmie" games. I've seen too many posts with someone feeling as though the upcoming games in Sacramento and Portland are automatic "W's". No way. Sacramento is playing much, much better and it's never easy to win in Portland.
This is a good read too (as far as getting some love... which never happens) http://www.hoopsworld.com/nba2-jr-smith-wearing-out-his-welcome
