Right, I said that above, too. However, it will be the Heat's 3rd to the last game for them, not 2nd to last. They still might have an incentive to get HCA over OKC.

btw: anyone know what the league w-l record is for teams with 3+ or more rest this season. Rockets have 4 days rest preparing for the Lakers.

7-5. If K-Mart or Kyle come back before it's over so we can give Goran and CLee much needed rest, that number on the left could improve.

That's what I was thinking. I penciled in the Heat as a W. 8-4 overall.

Phoenix and Utah both have challenging schedules to finish the season too. I'm guessing Utah will finish around 7-5 and Phoenix 5-7. We get to play both of them, so it'll be important to hang some losses on them (though I wasn't counting on it).

Bottomline, going to be a close finish, a toss up as to whether they are in or out. But you know what, both cases will result in a very similar draft position, not too great. However, a chance in the playoffs could make the Rockets more attractive to free agents. AND, once you are IN, anything can happen.

If they beat the Lakers, I think they could go on a great run, I think we will beat the Mavs and probably split the Denver games. We are capable of winning all the rest except the Heat, we can beat them, but it will be extremely difficult unless they bench some for the playoffs.

    10 games. : )

That 4 game stretch will decide the season

    Phoenix
    Utah
    Denver
    Denver

Damn if Rockets lose to the Jazz I might cry.

Great point. It is the second to last game in the season and they do have a comfortable lead in 2nd.

If 1st is out of reach, this is very possible.

Lets start rooting for the Bulls to clinch 1st by the time the Heat play us.

If the playoff position for the heat is lock by when we face them we may not face a fully heat team due to rest or at least not a motivated one.

Games from 4/11-4/16 will be the most important.

I said, 4 days rest we would win. You know what the league record is for winning on 4 days rest and practice.

    Lakers had no chance.

We will beat Miami at the end of the year, too.

We will pass Dallas and get the 6th seed to play the Lakers.

    How glorious is that!

I hastily clicked 5-7 thinking the poll was what seed would the Rockets finish.
