You are ignoring all the other circumstances, such as the botched trade, Pattersons' injury (which shortened our big man rotation), our loaded PG position.

Also, the Knicks were going to cut Lin, it was only because of injuries that they were forced to play him. In other words, the Knicks were lucky.

    It's not black and white.

I agree. It was a lite-hearted analogy written more for humor than accuracy. Lighten up and have a laugh once and a while. It's not always black and white.

True, but if the organization is committed to winning, and their job is to recognize NBA talent, then they should have found a way to keep him over Jeff "let's cut him" Adrien.

I agree with you too DD. But let's face it there are no perfect organizations. It's a mixture of good scouting intelligent guesses and luck. Morey hasn't had a lot of good luck but he has had some intelligent guesses. Donatus and parsons are recent examples of that. Dragic for Brooks turned out to be steal. No one can argue the price we had to pay for Scola or Lowry or more recently Camby.

I do agree Morey is not the most personable but he seems to be trying and I expect he will never call another player an ASSET. I know you want more from Morey but it is hard to deny he has assembled some ASSETS and we do have something to build with. ;)

can we stop blaming the organization for cutting Lin? We had 3 PGs under contract (two of which were high-caliber NBA players), plus another possibly coming over from Europe in the offseason. Our weakness was in the front court. If anything, the fact that our scouts were adept enough to bring Lin in should reconfirm that we are one of the best organizations at recognizing talent, in the league. Let's move on already! Unfreakingbelievable!

Dragic is doing it far more efficiently and is more of a natural passer than Lin is. I think we're overlooking how much this Rockets lineup is winning through sharing the ball.

Linsanity overplays and dominates the ball. It works for him but I don't think Lin would have have the same success with this Houston team.

I am critical of Morey because I expect a lot of him.

I think he has done a good job, I got him at a solid B right now, more hits than misses.

I think he has learned from his mistakes, whereas they used to draft undresized players, they now seem to go out of their way to get "Right" sized ones...

I am not fond of his hiring McHale.....not in the least, nor am I fond of him giving a draft pick for TWill (should have done more homework, IMO), but I really like the Camby move, and we shall see how he handles Lowry/Dragic.

Agree completely with your KMc. I wondered at the time if it was a 'closet' hire for tanking purposes. I still wonder at the real motivation of the hire altho it was stated at the time that Owner Alexander wanted a NAME.

I liked the TWill move. At the time. I believed RA scuttled the fellow, and led to his non-reup. But then in came amenable KMc and TWill's roster burial deepened. When will he bloom? If he does ouch. If he doesn't then it's a different ouch. Can't bat a thousand, I guess.

My short answer is no. I will have to let Bima or others do the heavy lifting on your question about who is who and the what, when, where, and how.

I think 5 or 6 teams right now have "Just a Bit" more cap space than we do.

You need to think 2012 draft and positions for each of those teams and the FA market and what those teams need or think they need. The Draft changes everything!!!! And I don't think this draft is that deep. 19 players deep tops. The rest are not making it in the NBA. The NBA player structure and FA market is way too strong. And yes Goran is part of it.

Right now it's all a mess, and Stern is still running the show and dropping the BALLS. Morey stating right now that the Rockets will "BID" (Match) in the FA market to bring the Dragon back is a great tool for this GM to use!!

Just stick to what Morey said and you will have an idea of how Goran will be back... I hope he comes back next year.

No one has said a word about Lull so far. Lull and D-Mo are still players that the Rockets can bring in (Parked over seas, playing with great coaching and teams that cost the rockets not ONE DIME). What people are talking about right now is OUR (individual) points of view at the guard position with Goran and Klow and not thinking about Lull at all.

We have huge trade value in all three guards even though Lull has never played a game in the NBA. Thats some real ***T. Some people here call it 'money ball'... Right now I'll say it as "Moery is Balling hard".

D-Mo is coming over this summer after a real good year over seas. Lull is also on the way over. Think about how people said that Rubio could or would not make it in the NBA? Lull has game and D-Mo has game too. Morey did that in the draft. Other GM's are seeing the light in parking players over seas and the value of bringing them to there teams.

I'm in no way saying the Morey invented this idea of parking players over seas.... just pointing out that he is using it and doing IMHO a real good job.

My post is already too long so

ZZPOT... that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
