http://houston.cbslocal.com/2012/04...ic-has-gone-from-backup-to-legit-nba-starter/ Nothing shocking, but some interesting quotes
“He’s a wonderful young man, really a good fun guy to be around. He loves to play, he loves to compete. He has a grittiness and toughness about him that I really like. At some point in the game everybody he plays gets mad at him and that’s a good thing.” That's a great quote from McHale. He played with a Hall of Famer who pissed off everyone.
Agreed. You know what I love most about Goran? He's Sasha Vujacic's arch nemesis. The enemy of my enemy is always my friend.
This reminds me of how the best lineups a few years back was playing Brooks and Lowry together. Dragic is big enough to play SG, we can start Lowry and Dragic, with Lee off the bench. We have more than enough minutes going around between Lowry, Dragic and Lee. Martin has fallen out, disappointingly. He's most likely traded this off-season.
I wonder how much McHale is helping. I remember reading after the Brooks trade that Gogi was a pretty emotional player and could get down on himself easily which is why he started to suck a bit and became dispensible for Phoenix. Maybe McHale is just really lighting a fire under Gogi's butt.
you know who else pisses every other player off? luifa. these 2 guys must remain rockets. If you've ever heard the goran in a post game interview after a glorious victory, he is loud and happy. After a loss, it's like someone died and he can barely get the words out in a very soft voice. He's a competitor, like lowry like Scola. Pay him, maury!
Reread McHale's quote in the article's very first sentence. Why do you say unsubstantiated crap like this? That is proven completely wrong? here, i'll paste it for you:
If Morey can pull it off. After this season of half-pouting and shoulder injury, I can only hope some team will give some value for him.
He had a foot injury. There was a rumor he hurt it on broken glass by being stupid but not drunk and the Suns' FO was ticked at knowing this.
Because if that were actually TRUE, he would have been starting - if he actually KNEW he was better than Lowry he would actually have played him a lot more. It is easy to make that statement now that he is playing well, why don't you take off your rose colored glasses and take a look at the real world for once? DD
McHale didn't say Dragic was better than Lowry, only that he could start on a lot of teams. Dragic was in the rotation since game one.
Wrong again. This has nothing to do with Lowry. He said he knew Goran was good enough to start on several teams, doesn't mean it's this team. You don't need to make everything about Lowry you know..
You said, "cool, just took them awhile to figure it out." At least tell us to what in the article you were referring.
