You don't seriously believe Zimmerman is 170lbs do you? We've now seen him the day of the incident. He may not weigh 250 (after seeing the video I don't think he is that much), but there is a zero percent chance he is even in the remote vicinity of 170lbs (If they said 200-220, they'd be more believable).

The New York Times says it's true, so it must be true.

    If true, narrative freaking fail!

What fail? Please enlighten us. While you're at it explain the controversy with the experts who said it wasn't Zimmerman yelling help again.

It doesn't make sense that Martin is running away from Zimmerman and then double backs to confront him.

I will stand by the scenario that I have outlined is that Martin was trying to get away Zimmerman, Zimmerman follows because it is dark and raining they both get confused about where the other is and they end up running into each other.

Considering Martin was killed close to his father's fiancee's house, I still think the most plausible scenario is that after buying his snacks, he tried to return back to the house but didn't remember which one belonged to his father's fiancee. That's when Zimmerman saw him and called 911. If you recall, Zimmerman told 911 that Martin was just standing there looking around.

Once Martin noticed Zimmerman watching him, he started walking away. Zimmerman got out of his car and tried to chase Martin, but Martin got away. And when Martin thought he was safe, he tried to return to his father's fiancee's house and once again encountered Zimmerman.

Keep in mind that's total speculation, but to me, it makes a lot more sense than Martin hunting down Zimmerman and jumping him.

You are very clearly wrong. There is not one hint of evidence that Zimmerman has any history of racism. There is irrefutable evidence that he was not racially profiling. The half a hundred 911 calls he has made include calls against back, white and latino young men so there goes your profiling argument. He has family and friends of deferent ethnicities including black, white and latinos. I am open minded enough to change my oppinion on Zimmerman if and when evidence of racism is presented.

You are so desperate to turn this into a race issue you claim that Zimmerman was coon hunting as if it was some sort of established fact. It has not even been established that the word he used was in fact coom. The fact that you say you are a racist as well as me indicates that you accept and admit that you are a racist. Congratulations, the first step to fixing your problem is admitting you have a problem. I am not a racist however. I do not try to create racial unrest by screaming racism when there is no evidence to that suggestion. You are very clearly and with out any doubt a racist and continue to be a black eye on our society because you try to create racial conflict even there is no evidence of racism. You are the worst part of society.

You are just as bad as other racists and your name might as well be David Duke or Louis Farrakhan. You are exactly the type of person the becomes the Grand Master of the KKK or the Leader of the Black Panthers. You pass off oppinions of racial hatred and intolerance as fact for the sole purpose of inciting racial conflict. You have no interest in any facts that don't support the your narrow minded views of race in this country.

I believe Zimmerman is guilty of manslaughter and should be punished because of it but society should not have to be suffer the likes of you because of it.

That seems very plausible. I agree that the idea of Martin deliberately coming back to try to get to Zimmerman doesn't seem plausible. Further there is contradictory reports from Zimmerman's side. Some say that Martin attacked Zimmerman from behind some say that Martin confronted him face to face and punched him after talking to him. The attack from behind story seems the most unlikely to me.

All this speculation is just sidebar issues that muddie the water. What is suspicious behaviour to you may not be suspicious to me. The real issue is

Did Zimmerman create a situation where he had to use his gun on someone? The answer I believe is Yes. IMO Zimmerman is guilty of manslaughter.

During the call, Zimmerman made the comments "these a--holes. they always get away" and what sounded like "f-ing coons".

Depending on the context, the first comment might not be racist, but the second comment definitely is (if he did indeed say what it sounded like he said).

Yep. "these asswholes" is very clear but the word that is percieved as coon is barely audible and not clear at all. I just listened again. There is tons of evidence that this is not a race crime and there is one word that we can not confirm that some are trying to use to convince everyone that this is a race crime and Zimmerman was specifically out looking for a young black man to kill.

If he did say coons, and I think he did, that is a pretty racist thing to say.

IMO, the 911 calls point to him racial profiling. Just because he calls the police on white and hispanic people who are actually appearing to do something illegal, doesn't mean he didn't racially profile. There was reason for him to profile since there were supposedly break-ins in the neighborhood that were apparently young black men. The 911 call history shows ever since those break-ins, he has been very suspicious of black people in the neighborhood (presumably only ones he did not recognize). You don't have to be a racist to racially profile, IMO.

I had to step away from the this board...too many bigots and idiots.

    However,

the timeline from which the first call made by Zimmerman to when he was taken to the police station is very interesting. Going off that...it seem the altercation happen as soon as Zimmerman hung up the phone while CHASING martin. Also, based off the timeline....paramedics were not working on Zimmerman long at the scene which somewhat suggest his injuries were not as severe as he and the officer said. (yes, officers lie too).

    Look at this timeline link

this plus we're only saying he racially profiled trayvon in reporting him to 911 and following him. no one's saying zimmerman went out that night to kill a black man.

    My opinion only.....

Zimmerman was a pissed neighborhood watch captain. The neighborhood was supposedly robbed by young black males in the past and he seemed to be fed up with it. It makes sense to me to think that because he made the comment "these @ssholes always get away"....he was pissed and probably thought that this was about to happen again. He decided to do something about it, because "these @ssholes always get away" but NOT TONIGHT. He chased Trayvon down and decided to take matters in his own hands. Too many black males got away from robbing the good people in his neighborhood and it was time to make a stand. He asked him what he was doing there and tried to detain him....it went terribly wrong because Trayvon was trying to get away. He shot Trayvon because THE ALWAYS GET AWAY and he was tired of it. Zimmerman will pay one way or another....by the justice system or by the hands of normal citizens that are tired of people like him....always getting away.

the fact that we are saying "If" he said coons suggests that we are not certain what he said.

The fact that he calls on white and latino's as well as young black men isproof that he is not just out there hunting young black men as some have suggested or tried to state as fact.

Loitering is a misdemeanor in most places and could be seen as suspicious behavior if you are just loitering around a neighborhood by yourself. It does not excuse Zimmerman for his actions but certainly is a legitimate excuse for the initial call to 911, perticularly if he was on neighborhood watch.

Indeed it is, but walking down the street is not cause for calling 911, which is what Martin was doing, walking home.

This may be how it happened. I could see that and if that is the case we are starting to move from manslaughter to murder. As it stands this is just one of multiple plausible theories. IMO, we should keep an open mind to new evidence.

Yeah....trust me I understand, but that's for a judge and jury to keep an open mind...for me, Zimmerman is guilty as sin man. Like I said...it's just my opinion and what i believe. I think he killed that kid thinking he was one of the many bandits that's been robbing that neighborhood. He was made and fed up...took it too far that night.

    can't stress this timeline enough...
