Doesn't anyone care? A four year old boy is shot in the head by a drive by shooter, who is identified but not in custody. http://blog.chron.com/newswatch/201...mmentKey:06a55087-f562-4bb4-846d-9451def39966 Just because it's a low wage thug shooting into a house in the bad part of town and a young minority dies, it doesn't get any attention.
If youre trying to imply why this isnt getting the attention that Trayvon's case had, its because trayvon's case, the killer walked free. Also because it puts the weird law into question. If trayvon's killer was at least interrogated and charged or sent to a trial, we wouldnt have had the backlash as we did.
Of course it doesn't. What drove the attention in the Martin case is incompetence of the police department and an impression that they failed at their jobs. As of now, there's nothing of the sort here. Murders and shootings happen every day - that's not what creates media attention. If people would take a few minutes to understand the basics of why the Martin case is unique, these silly questions wouldn't keep popping up.
Treyvon's killer was actually handcuffed and taken into custody for questioning. To say otherwise is to spread misinformation.
Police are probably still looking for the suspect. Just because his name is known doesnt mean they know where he is. And they're definitely not going to publish it do he goes into hiding.
The investigation has not run its course. Were there mistakes made in the Trevor Dooley case? We will never know because due process was allowed to play out and weeks after the crime Dooley was arrested and charged with manslaughter. We will never know if the same would have happened in the Zimmerman / Martin because people did not let the investigation finish before screaming racism, police incompitance etc....
Black on black crime is just keeping it real in the hood. When one "white Hispanic" kills a black person it's ground for race rioting. So goes Obamastan.
Do you realize that the district attorneys get involved in these kinds of cases before anyone is charged? The police gather facts. The DA learns about the facts (sometimes actually making the scene) and tells the police what they are going to/are not going to prosecute. I'm not a troll. I just hate the media. People shoot other people in "self defense" every day.
How long should the family wait? I think its fairly reasonable that the way the police handled this early, the way they handled the body, drug testing, background check, and the victim's parents, was indicative they were incompetent or weren't being thorough. This case is over a month old. You seem to be one of those people that believe the system works as it is except that reality and history tell us that it doesn't and that's especially so for black people. Racism actually exists, it's not some fantasy that people pull out of their asses to get attention as you seem to believe.

Actually, we do know because there were clear and visible mistakes made in the first days of the investigation that we know about. Nothing the media has done prevents the police from doing a thorough investigation - the only thing that does that is the police's own decisions on the day of the shooting.
Yes - the police gather facts. Facts like who the victim was, instead of leaving them in the morgue for 3 days. And facts like whether the shooter had any alcohol or drugs in his blood - something that is routine but was not tested. And facts like keeping evidence, instead of letting witnesses walk away with it. They didn't do that in the Martin case. There's no evidence they did anything wrong here. If there is, someone who knows that should go to the media so they can shine a spotlight on the incompetence as they did in the Martin case.
Actually we do not know and that is a fact. To say so we do know is specutlation? What we do know is that there has been tons of misinformation like how it was originally thought that that the police did not take Zimmerman in for questioning. Now we know that they took him in handcuffs
