I think this is working but don't quote me on that http://livetvcafe.net/video/634BN8X66XYN/HBO Nevermind. It is 1 hour behind.
i haven't read future books in the series but it seemed like in the first season that the Stark family were the main protagonists. At least it was the family that you wanted to succeed the most.
Read the plot summary for the book on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Game_of_Thrones I don't know if it's fair to say that there are no main characters... there's just not one main or a couple of main characters. Instead there's over a dozen.
This is true in the 1st few books but as the series progresses this is not as true. In FoC there are some PoV Characters that play an important role but are not main characters. I don't recall this in any of the 1st three books though. In FoC the first couple of chapters fealt more like a prologue than a typical PoV chapter.
I think that kind of starts in CoK. You have Theon, who I wouldn't consider a main character, and Davos who is there largely to give accounts of Stannis, Melisandre, and the Battle of the Blackwater.
I thought it was better than any episode from season 1. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/CrQsRSNqGLQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I was worried for a moment that the episode would not meet HBO's nudity quota, but then right towards the end they manage to sneak in the usual unnecessary w**** screwing scene. Everything is right in the world
