In less than four seasons, Kevin Love has more 30-point, 20-rebound games (seven) than Tim Duncan (six), Dwight Howard (six), David Robinson (five), Karl Malone (five) and Larry Bird (five) did in their entire NBA careers.

He also has more losing seasons than each one of those guys did their entire career.

So does this mean we can expect "Kevin Love show the world that he's on prime Tim Duncan's level" some time in the near future?

Kevin Love is quickly becoming the most overrated player in the NBA.

This is a PF/C who shoots 45% from the field. And his team is not in the playoffs picture.

But KD is rated just right, right? He hasn't won nothing, either.

Durant's team made it to the western finals last year. Love has yet to play in the playoffs. Big difference.

This league should always value winning over stats. This is one thing I agree with JVG.

Durant has 2 all-stars on his team. Sometimes you need good players bro.

Kobe went from first round fodder to champion with more talent.

Ricky Rubio is Love's 2nd best player. A rookie who can't shoot 40%.

But yes, Love needs to bring that fg% up.

How is that fair to the person who puts in all the work on a losing team? It isn't like Kevin Love is just trying to pad his stats each and every game.

And the league DOES value winning over stats. You don't see Love in contention for MVP, even though his numbers represent a viable MVP.

Kevin Love isn't overrated; no one is campaigning for him to be the GOAT or MVP or anything like that. He's just a hard worker who is trying to get his team to the playoffs.

I feel like if you're MVP level, your team should be a playoff contender.

Lebron in Cleveland, Dwight in Orlando have no real help. Hell, Wade in Miami too.

I'm not suggesting that Love is not a very good player (he is a two-time all star isn't he), but when you have threads like this that compares him to the all-time great like Duncan, Bird, or Karla he is getting OVERRATED.

And if Love had better players on his team he would not be putting up as big numbers as he does now. This guy is an elite rebounder, but he only scores a lot of points because he takes a lot of shots. That's my impression from wathing him.

So if KD and Westbrook had better players they wouldn't be averaging what they would be averaging either, right?

I don't quite understand your logic. Put KD on the Heat, does his average go down also?

What's your point? OKC is already argurably one of the two best teams in the league. I think they can give Miami a run for their moeny as is. Where is Minnesota at?

That is my whole point -- winning over stats. Stats alone gets you all all-star nod but not in the MVP conversation or being compared to the all-time greats. I rolled my eyes when I heard talk-heads on ESPN saying Love is as good as Bird was the other day. Make the playoffs first and then we'll talk.

But they have some nice pieces and a perfect coach. Derrick Williams will be a star one day so maybe the TWolves can see that or trade him for an already established star like Pierce or something.

My point is you put westbrook or kd on a better team and their stats go down.

So, I don't really understabnd what you are criticizing by saying that Love's numbers will go down. Please elaborate.

The fact is KD and Westbrook only either two to worry about "stats." If they had 3 or 4 players, their stats are going down.

Similarly, Wade and Lebron (bosh sacrificed his stats) only have two players to worry about scoring.

So I take it that Love can add at least another stat and do the same as Wade, Lebron, Westbrook and KD and his stats wont suffer.

derrick williams haven't showed anything but being drafted #2 overall that he will be a star.

The only real players they have is Love and Rubio and Barea and pec. Three of which are hurt.
