Yeah, but you have to give something to get something. Lowry is on a very friendly contract and has had a year-ish of consistent play. He is at a "Sell high" moment. Whereas Dragic wants to start, and in order to maximize any return on your assets you have to choose...... You can't keep them both - won't happen.... DD
Show me where I said the sample size is too small therefore Dragic doesn't deserve the starting spot even when Lowry comes back. Not everyone is as hypocritical as you are, no need to drag me to your level. You won't take the bet because you know you're full of ****.
Oh dear god, don't go emo on fans... WTF do you think FAN stands for? Isn't it short for Fanatic? Let people vent, that is what being a sports fans is all about, let them enjoy the highs and b**** about the lows. I hate people who whine about others whining.... Let folks feel how they want..... DD
Then don't take the bet, show me where I said Dragic doesn't deserve the spot even when Lowry returns.
What's emo of wanting to have some consistency on the team? Fair criticism is always welcome, more often than not it is just blind hate or love. Good thing about the GM, the guy does not care about emotions, he goes about his business .....
I'm not following. What does me saying his stats are a small sample have to do with me not thinking Lowry should earn his spot back?
Oh for **** sake, stop b****ing about fans who criticize the team or the players. Whining about the whiners, is basically doing the same crap, just with a different target. DD
Yeah it is unfair but that is just the way it is. Might be a better idea to compare Lowry's highest point this season to Dragic's. The team is playing great during a tougher part of the schedule (what probably has been the toughest stretch of games we have had all year, keep in mind this is without our leading scorer). The rest of the team is looking better (Scola is looking a lot better, Pat for the most part is looking better, Parsons for sure, hell even Dalembert is looking better). Plus Dragic seems better at staying in front of his man on the defensive end (though Lowry is probably a better help defender, good at drawing charges though that did annoy me).
So you are saying Dragic is now the starter, and Kyle should have to outplay him to get his spot back, right? DD
It would help sometimes if you learned how to read and realize not everyone is as pathetic as you are. You make up a pile of ****, can't back up what you say. Get on your high horse when you think you could, only to realize you took **** out of context. How the hell do you go from "small sample size" to "Dragic doesn't deserve to start"? Small sample size is a fact, something you like to ignore. You can't point out my hypocrisy because there isn't any, because not everyone chooses a player over the organization.
Classless as always. Pot meet kettle. We can all see your hypocrisy, you are naked to the world...put some clothes on for Christ sake. DD
Seriously? Your mental gymnastic is making my brain melt. Just show me where I said Dragic doesn't deserve the starting spot and put this to rest.
Maybe flamingdts thinks Lowry deserved to be the starter last year based not only on his performance in Aaron's absence, but also on his performance the entire prior season when he was one of the most impactful reserves in the league. Or, maybe he thought Brooks wasn't worth keeping as the starter because he was in his last year and seeking money the Rockets weren't convinced he deserved, while Lowry (who we had locked to up to many more years) had shown himself to be a very capable starter. But I know you'll just continue to ignore these differences and pretend like the situation is exactly analogous, when it isn't.
I would like to keep them both. Rockets had Cassell and Kenny Smith in the best years. The Bulls had Harper and Steve Kerr. I dont see why anyone should get either of these guys for free. The Rockets have no plans that are serious about getting that star right now. They should lock these two up and make people offer something for one of them if they want them so bad. We should keep them and hopefully get lucky in the draft or by trade. No need to keep letting everyone go just to start another guy. Thats what you have Kevin Martin for. You let go of his sandbagging butt and you have enough money to keep Dragic and Lowry. Start Lee. Have a playoff team and a few draft picks. People want one of them bad enough? Its gonna cost them to get whoever they want.
We have two guys everyone wants for PG. Keep them both. Even if it ties up alot of money. Make them pay for it or let the Rockets continue to reap the rewards of the one really strong spot on this team. There is and should be no PG dilemma. Its a overflow. Keep it. Make others want it.
But Theta how can we keep two highly priced PGs and why? I am gonna tell you.. 1. Kevin martin is likely gone. Trade him for a draft pick. Freeing up money to keep both. 2. Golden State did this similar thing by keeping two similar players in Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry. By doing that it allowed them to trade for a guy Morey would have liked in Andrew Bogut. This is something similar that could happen by keeping both Lowry and Dragic for Morey.
