He is a FREE AGENT, unrestricted... It will be hard work to sign him. And you are talking about keeping him.

the issue for me is that to keep goran requires you to offer him the starting job, else you lose him for nothing, whereas kyle, his play and his amazing contract has the potential to give us some serious upgrades..

P.s. (obligatory, lol) Both are better than Jeremy Lin though

Lakers just got Sessions. They don't need Lowry anymore.

I would be surprised... would you rather the security of a long term contract at $5+ million per season, or one year at $4.5M?

Just stop. You go into every thread and say contract year. You're and idiot if you think Dragic is playing well because it's a contract year. Troll, I guess.

Dragic will get a bigger contract than Lowry's from either Houston or some other team. THIS IS A GUARANTEE. Clearly you can't keep both then because you don't pay your backup(dragic) more than your starter(lowry) and you I PROMISE YOU LOWRY WILL NOT BACKUP GORAN. Totally makes sense to trade Lowry and get a good pick or promising young player and at the same time showing Dragic that your committed to him so he'll come back.

I'm lovin' the way Dragic is playing right now. If we do sneak into the playoffs and Kyle gets into decent enough shape to provide good minutes off the bench...it gives us a puncher's chance against the upper tier of the West.

As for this dilemma, I'm hoping the offseason plays out something like this:

-Renounce Dally. This gives us approximately 15 mil in cap space, I believe.
-Try to sign Lee for 6 mil.
-Try to sign Dragic at around 9 mil, promising him a Ginobli-like role off the bench (after all, Ginobli gets 11-12, and Dragic is pretty much Ginobli minus a little 3 pt shooting, a couple inches, the flopping...plus some hair though)

If either of them get offered more, they probably will have to have to let them walk. But a Dragic/Lowry/Lee rotation at the guard spots keeps us set for years there. Then we ship Martin for something, anything...bring over Motie, and re-up Camby. If Morris and Parsons continue to develop, and Motie becomes something special, in a couple of years...Bam! There's your rebuild while staying competitive.

We have tons of cash this off-season we should be able to keep Dragic and I think we should Start both or trade Lowry (it's hard for me to say) for a lottery pick if we could get one then start Lee and Dragic.

But under no circumstances should Dragic not be resigned he is putting up big numbers and is a regular on SC top 10.

A combo-guard whose scored at the same clip as Lowry and tacked on more assists as a starter.

With a small sample size and a different backcourt lineup.
