Our FO is smart. I think they know they have to keep Dragic. I'll let them figure out how. The FO has gotten us a nice assemblage of players; we now have defensive presence inside. It's up to the players now to play consistently--to their strengths. The coaching staff also knows the players better. It's up to the bench to give our starters quality rest. So we can finish games strong.
Dragic is going to get a huge payday. I can see him getting 9 million/year. We'll have to choose between him and Lowry. With Lowry's low salary, it'll probably be him.
my thinking is if the rockets are trully intreted in lull , there gonna have to trade lowry to make room for him. I just dont see lowry going back to playing second fiddle .
I personally do not believe that "BOTH" is an option, I think they both want to start, and have both EARNED a starting spot. So, I will go with Dragic because he is taller, more athletic, and is a much better creator on the dribble....and can do everything else that Kyle does equally well. DD
This is not a PG dilemma. A PG dilemmas is trying to decide whether to play Dragic 48 minutes a game or actually letting Jonny Flynn touch the ball.
beno udrih ain't half bad he just had 10 assists today. and he is supposedly on a "non-contract slacking" year by your standards.
I really am glad I don't have to make this decision! Don't be so quick to forget how well Lowry has been playing for the last two seasons. I mean we're talking all-star caliber play and leadership from him. I don't see a realistic scenario where we keep them both. I think we either resign Dragic and trade Lowry or let Dragic walk and go with Lowry as our guy. At least we can all take comfort in the fact that either way our starting PG spot is in very good shape for next season.
In a perfect world , you'd keep both Lowry and Dragic as well as re-sign C.Lee. Those three offer a lot of options and can eat up a big chunk of minutes across three positions. With Dragic , you dont really need to add another guy to the rotation behind Lee at the SG spot unless you plan on Lee playing a lot of minutes at SF. I dont think you can start all three of them , but they can all three play starters minutes .... and honestly , its not who starts but who finishes that matters.
I choose Dragic it seems hes more talented and the game comes much easier to him on offense and hes really aggresive on defense. Lowry has to work extremely hard to do anything and his defense has slipped. I would like to keep lowry as a backup he was beasting when he was behind brooks.
Maybe he's thinking of Devin Harris. Wasn't he made a starter after Nash left Mavs? Look what's happened to him since?
Dragic was ragging on Patterson for being late for morning shoot-around. Pat's tardiness resulted in coach punishing him by making him sit the first half. He did well the 2nd half, though, especially his D on Zach Randolph.
I know, the dilemma I'm referring to is the leadership role they are fighting over. First Dragic tells Ppatt to go to sleep and then Lowry tells both to go to sleep, he's showing whose still in charge
