The ideal is keep both! We can always use Goran in the 2 guard because we're gonna trade KMart away.

If we can only keep one, keep Dragic. His razzle-dazzle attacking style is very hard to defend. And Lowry has been injured or missed some games every season he has played. Dragic is more durable (knock on wood).

Just work on signing Dragic back and figure out the rest later.

My hope is that the team (both the players and the coaches and front office) has established a good enough professional rapport with Dragic that he would prefer to come back to a team that he knows he would play well with if all else is roughly equal. He seems pretty happy, but who knows.

One small thing in the Rockets' favor: Goran is represented by BDA Sports, the same agency that represented Yao Ming. So they seems to have a decent working relationship.

I can see the Pacers or the j*zz giving him big contracts (heck maybe even the suns if nash walks). If thats the case keep Lowry and let goran walk (unless morey firmly believes he's better than lowry)

I love both, but it's starting to look like Dragic, with consistent starter minutes, has that "special" factor and he's more physically gifted. I'm thinking we're seeing the tip of the iceberg with Dragic and I don't think Lowry is going to improve much more than he is currently as a player. I pick Dragic if we can't keep both.

This reminds me of Dallas. Didn't they keep Terry (or Kidd) and decide to let Nash go? Let's hope this doesn't happen to us!

I think you got to sign Dragic. Lowry may be all around better but Dragic has shown a consistency as a starter that Lowry lacked. And IMO Dragic runs the team better.

That being said, there is no reason Lowry and Dragic can't play together. And Lowry can still get his 30 minutes if we trade martin. Lowry can become our Jason Terry with defense. Championship teams have a player like that.

The only problem I see is can we afford to keep both. Lowry might be the player that gets us a star or maybe it's Dragic. Either way the biggest blunder for the Rockets would be to let Dragic walk for nothing. On the other hand do not think teams like Portland and others with cap space or not watching. Dragic is a great addition for a rebuilding team and he may sign for a few buck less because he likes it here but you can forget about MLE. I am thinking 10 mil is about where his agent will start the bidding.

    Dragic's the black Ginobili.

Trade Martin. Start Lowry and Lee. Let Dragic backup both.

    Bring Llull over next year.

No. Nash and Terry never played with each other. Kidd was acquired years later.

Nash was let go because Cuban wanted to spend the money on Dampier AFAIK.

    i'll do the math....
2 guard positions @ 48 minutes = 96 min divided by 3 guards = 32 min each = room for Klow, Dragic and Clee... and we can prob have all 3 for about 18M/yr total....
so jettison Kmarts 12M+/yr and lets get a dominate PF!

Dragic runs the team better because he's a better scorer than Lowry and picks up his dribble a lot less. We can't keep both because Dragic is too good to be a backup. If it were my call I'd keep Dragic and trade Lowry since right now Lowry would probably net us an all star or top 10 pick. Dragic is still kind of a secret right now.

The team appears much more deadly with Dragic playing PG. I wouldnt want him and Lowry on the court at the same time as it kind of makes Dragic useless when he plays the 2 spot.

Not unless we gut the team and after the way Camby played tonight he is our inexpensive center for the now. No need to sign a center for almost max dollars when Camby is a better defender right now and will sign for less.

For now, you keep Dragic and Lee starting, you get Lowry healthy and you let Lowry run the bench brigade for the remainder of the season. You play Dragic, Lee, Lowry, and Parsons around 30 minutes a piece depending on matchups, and you give Bud the other 24 minutes or so.

That's your perimeter rotation for the remainder of the season.

We have to re-sign Dragic this offseason unless New Jersey or somebody else offers him $50 million over 4 or something ridiculous like that. And even then, Morey is going to face a tough decision determining Goran's worth. Goran is our ace in the hole to play with DWill and Dwight with.

Lowry could fill in the Ginobili/Harden role. No one on the bench has been consistent this season.
