seriously, kobe may see a high trap but that's only to disrupt the flow of the offense ad get the ball out of his hands. kobe getting "double and triple teamed every time he touches the ball" is an over-exaggeration. parsons guarded him 1-on-1 bynum even beast when kobe is not in the game so how can kobe be the reason bynum is effective
The Lakers' offense IS running through Bynum, but Kobe breaks that offense frequently to go off on his own. To Kobe, single coverage is a signal to shoot.
Bynum got the high percentage by alley hoop and putback. It wasn't like he created to get his most points. In fact, he's TO prone facing double team and he's not a good passer. This is like saying Knicks are holding Chandler back by not going to him.
That's funny. Had Kobe been covered 1on1 that much, World Peace wouldn't have that many shots clanking. Lakers are dead last in 3pt shooting this year. Kobe's shooting 43% and have 52% true shooting, World Peace is shooting 27.5% in 3pt line and most shots are wide open and he won't get fouled there. If you are a coach, what do you prefer? I don't get why LeChoke fanbois are so insecure and have to start these Kobe bashing threads everyday.
Did you just compare going to Bynum is like going to Tyson Chandler on offense? OH lord. Now I'm SURE you don't watch Laker games. Either move to LA or get league pass or find some ways to stream Laker games so you know what you're talking about. Listen to MIchael Thompson or Stu Lantz, the Lakers commentators on radio/KCAL TV. They ALWAYS plead for the Lakers to go inside before 99% of the games. Never happens LOL.
Or maybe you need to subscribe TV and do not come out with these nonsense by looking at boxscore only. Bynum is way better than Chandler in offense but he got the high shooting percentage in the same way. How many times yesterday he's stuck in the post and had to pass out in the deep clock or got a TO? He hasn't proven he's more efficient than Kobe in 1on1 situation and he's obviously a worse passer. Can Lakers use him more in early offense? Absolutely. Is his 1on1 offense as good as Shaq or YM? Not even close.
Kobe's decline is hurting the Lakers, not himself...Kobe not taking 15+ shots a game hurts them even more imho. But it seems he shoots a good clip only for 1-2 quarters, and then drops off significantly. He'll have to learn to defer more in the second and third quarter, and take advantage of the Session and Barnes combo. To summarize he Laker's problems: No bench, Jerkyl and Hyde Gasol, Mike Brown's rotations....and Bynum's inability to deal with double teams. O, and btw, Robinson aint' ***** compared to Kobe
Again, go take a listen to Michael Thompson or Stu Lantz in the pre or post game shows. Don't listen to me.
What does LeBron have to do with this? Do you filter every thread or comment critical of Kobe to be from "LeChoke fanbois"? Are trying to dumb down the discussion to divert it? You have no business calling anyone else a fanboi since your knee-jerk reactions are just as bad or worse. Get over it. Are you Kobe's mother? If not, quit acting like Gloria James and Pam McGee. Ron Artest is a disgrace of a gaping sore at SF, which is another reason the Lakers aren't real Finals contenders. I applaud every time he puts the ball up from long range. Then you have the nerve to compare Bynum with Tyson Chandler. Chandler is a complete zero on offense who can't do anything but dunk alley-oops and putbacks. Bynum is one of the few Cs who can dominate in the low post. What do Yao and Shaq have to do with anything? They are retired and nobody brought them up but you. Nice dodge. You are all over the place. Come on back to Earth and let's talk facts about Kobe and the Lakers. Forget LeBron, Yao, Shaq, etc. I promise the Lakers won't be playing against any of them the rest of the season.
Kobe is declining. It is a fact. It's mainly because he is strictly a jump shooter now. Earlier in his career he drove much more. A jump shooter, even a very good one like Kobe, does not impact a game as much as someone who drives and attacks. The Lakers' strength is in their front court, especially Andrew Bynum who is the best offensive center in the game. If given enough touches Bynum can average 25 ppg in this league right now. I think Kobe does understand that he is declning, but he is not accepting. This is what happens to all the great ones. It will be interesting to see what happens to the Lakers after they lose in the playoffs this year.
Because LeChoke fanbois happen to be most enthusiastic in starting and joining Kobe bashing threads. Kobe's 33 and gradually degrading, so what? LeChoke still hasn't done **** to take over.
Just leave LeBron out of it and quit looking at everything through Kobe-colored knee-jerk glasses. LeBron has nothing to do with the Lakers. They will fail just fine without him.
Kobe is throwing up way too many bad shots this year (and the last couple of years) -- I suspect that's why Bynum shot that 3 pointer the other day... to prove a point.
Lol, he mad and gonna cry cuz people speakin da truth about his idol! ^ Pretty hypcriticol for you to call people "fanbois" when you da biggest KOBE FANBOI on Clutchfans.net
I'm not a Lebron "Fanboi", I was actually just trying to compare Bynum to Kobe and show how efficient and near dominant Bynum has been. He could be the best C in the game if Kobe would swallow just an ounce of pride and let Bynum get his rep's. You can have your opinion though, I won't argue with you.
Maybe you are not. But is it a coincidence that tmac_1, Sleepy Flloyd, A_3PO,wekko368 are always very active in such threads and even create such threads in daily base? Kobe can retire today and he's a top 10 greatest of all time, he's one of the biggest overachievers of all time in NBA history. I don't see what Kobe fans need to be mad of. Can't say the same thing about LeChoke fanbois. They really need this to stay on LeChoke's nuts. They find comforts in such threads. It's like a religion.
dude it's not about Lebron. it's about how this season, Kobe and the Lakers are fools gold. funny how you automatically assume any criticism towards LA makes one a LeBron fanboy. I would assume most of them are diehard Rockets fans like me who just can't stand the Lakers (and their myopic fans)
