I don't believe he is racist but in some of the calls where the subject did not display any suspicious behavior I believe he applied racial profiling which is what i'm arguing about
Then why was he in hand-cuffs.... if he was not arrested? Isn't that part of that procedure. If they failed to file charges then he walks out of the sheriff's office. "In handcuffs" and "not arrested" seem in conflict. It would appear that he was arrested but charges were dropped. Is "taken into custody" different from being "arrested?"
You can be in handcuffs and in custody and not charged. If I'm followed by someone who I think looks suspicious (rightly or wrongly), I'm running. And if I had a gun, I'd be running with my hand ready. And if I'm in Florida, I'm running around a corner, hiding, and pulling out my gun ready to shoot becaue my actions would be legally justified.
When you are carrying a gun you are held to a higher standerd than someone just walking down the street. Chasing someone regardless of intentions is careless while carrying a gun because it creates a flamable situation when the person being chase feels threatened. As someone carrying a gun you have a responsibility to be more carefull than that. I do not think there was any milicious intent by Zimmerman. I don't believe there were race reasons for the shooting. I do think Zimmerman was overzealous and acted carelessly while carrying a leathel weopon. At this point unless more evidence comes out my stance is that Zimmerman is guilty of manslaughter do to his careless actions while carrying a gun that resulted in the loss of a life.
From the 911 calls there is one thing that is certain: Mr. Zimmerman was most definitely looking for trouble.
Roseanne Barr does her best Spike Lee impression. Tweets the address of Zimmerman's parents I don't buy her 'it was meant to be a private tweet' excuse. Why would she be tweeting privately the address? 'No one can hide'?!?!? All these people did was stick up for their kid. Go to hell Roseanne.
"Looking for trouble" is a poor choice of words. Colloquially it means intending to make trouble; I'm pretty sure that's not what bT meant... yet you are all spinning it that way. Can I see your media credentials, please?
You are stretching it now. I didn't call him a racist. I said he was racial profiling and stereotyping black people as being suspicious since August 2011 because of the break-ins recently. Wrongfully identifying somebody as a threat doesn't make you a racist, but you have to live with the consequences when you blur the lines of self defense and follow and/or confront them.
Look at the trend of calls starting from August 2011 to present day. People go through down times in their lives emotionally, financially, etc. Zimmerman was trying to solve the crimes. Instead of doing so, he not put only his own life at risk, he put his neighbors at risk and shot a minor who was walking home from a convenient store. Now as to the Sanford PD and State Attorney's office... that's an entirely different can of worms.
Undisputable/ Undeniable FACT aka Facts on Facts on Facts is..... That the 13 year old's mom is a certifiable banger.
No, not really. They took a person who shot and killed an unarmed minor into the station for questioning. Taken into custody is perhaps over stating it as well. I think it's more accurate to say that he was brought in for questioning.
Really? You think it's damning circumstantial evidence? I wouldn't even go that far. It's bad and ashamed if that's what he said, but I think it would have little bearing on what actually happened.
How is custody not appropriate? He was detained for interrogation in handcuffs. Custody vs detained is semantics. "brought in for questioning" sounds like he showed up in a suit a week later with his lawyer.
Skittles is the quintessential hood candy and an Arizona is the new official hood drink since kool aid fell off. With a hoodie to match Trayvon was well on his way to Thuggery. GZ must have known this.
Custody sounds like they're going to hold him. Brought in for questioning sounds like they're going to interrogate him and then depending on the questions and police let him go, or keep him in custody. "brought in for questioning" has the key word "brought". That would be different than someone "showing up". It is semantics and none of it seems very relevant to the case.
