Steve Nash acknowledged that he is unlikely to re-sign with the Suns if the team doesn't make improvements in the offseason.

"I'm not coming back to the Suns if there isn't improvement," Nash said.

Nash expects the Suns to make the type of improvements he is referencing.

Nash also said he would consider an offer from the Heat.

"I would listen," Nash said. "He's phenomenal. I love what they're doing there. A lot of people don't like them because they put all that talent there. But they're professional, they play hard, they play together. Their coaching staff has done a great job so I have a tremendous amount of respect for them.

    "I would definitely listen."

That would be a sick team with Nash as PG.

Damn, Nash, Wade, Lebron, and Bosh? That be fun to watch.

Although I wish he'd go somewhere besides Miami, like go to Orlando for a year and try to win one there.

Title should read "Nash packing bags, heading anywhere but Arizona."

Rofl if the Heat lose in the finals this year, they are gonna need another HOFer.

Seeing Steve Nash's 2011/12 stats that'd be actually four HOFers in their prime(stats-wise) starting, pretty incredible.

If Miami loses this year, I think they look into trading Bosh- whether it's his fault or not he's clearly the scapegoat for anything that goes wrong.

I don't know if the Heat are the best fit for Nash. They already have two guys that dribble a lot. Nash is used to dribbling around to set up teammates. He'll have to get used to standing and watching from the 3-point line.

I bet he doesn't got there.

If Kerr becomes the Blazers GM he could go there. Two things going for them.

1, Running the PnR with Aldridge.

2, Cap space. Suns will offer him another 13M/yr deal. Signing for the MLE with the Heat? I don't see it.

Agree... Nash is more used to pick-and-roll with a big man along with guys like Dudley, Frye, Barbosa, Bell standing around at the 3 pt line. He would help but wouldn't add as much value there as he could elsewhere, and either him or the other two guys would have to adjust. Also, Miami's D would get worse.

But the reason they dribble a lot is cause the point guards they have had are'nt that great so its hard for wade and james or, bosh to get the ball in the right spots but with nash there OMG!!

    NASH to the Heat!!

He is 38 years old and still ballin. His defense was never good but he can still shoot and pass the rock. Plus Wade and Lebron can pick up his slack.

2011-2012 STATS: 53.7 FG%, 38.9 3PT%, 88.1 FT%, 3.1 REB, 11.2 AST! And those are his stats as the best player on the Suns. He would be 3rd to 4th best player on the Heat!!!

LeBron, Wade, and Nash running multiple fast breaks down teams' throats would be gruesome. Imagine Steve "one of the best shooters in the NBA ever!" Nash getting wide open jumpshots. If the Heat are smart they will jump all over trying to sign Nash. Whether he accepts MLE or the vets mininum for 2-3 years is all on Nash wanting to create a dynasty or not. If he takes the vet min then they can look for a center to compliment Bosh's skills. An defensive enforcer that can get offensive rebounds at a high clip or a good post scorer who can rebound(can't be both because they would be a superstar). Thabeet....I kid. Ben Wallace? Marcus Camby? Kwame Brown? Chris Kaman? Tim Duncan(not...retire a Spur).

Best bet would be sign Nash to vet min and Kaman to full MLE or Nash full MLE and B.Wallace vet min. Let most of those dead weight contracts walk and Heat = UNSTOPPABLE!!!

If he goes to the Heat, he'll get a lot of open looks, but he won't have as much time with the ball. Not necessarily a bad thing considering his shooting pedigree.

Would Nash fit in MIA? They don't really need help creating their own shots..

since the rockets are deadset on not rebuilding, Nash will be perfect for them on a short deal.. 2-3 years.

i dont see why it matters what Nash is best suited for....They dont need him to play his best. Simply having a shooter of his caliber may be enough to get over the hump. All that matter is that Nash is content in that role and i think he may, since he'll still have fun running with them and will probably win a ring, finally.

Nash should sign with Indiana if he doesn’t want to sign with a capped out contender for the mini MLE. The Pacers are a good team with cap space and PG is their only weak link. He would make a big difference there.
