the knocks on the guy are well documented, I get it. but I think he is undervalued. the kind of sophomore season he had doesn't just happen by accident...and he did it in the SEC. like I said, I understand where you are coming from...the red flags are there. but quite frankly everyone we draft in that range is going to have skeletons in their closet: K. Wright - put on weight before the combine and had a terrible 40 time. S. Hill - combine warrior with zero production in college M. Sanu - another terrible combine performer R. Randle - bad combine, coupled with bad college production it's a crap shoot. I just think Jeffery has the best chance of being special out of that group.

That he sat out the combine drills still bugs me a lot. I take it more that he was going to bomb then, and has been working out like mad since to post the good numbers at USC. What happens once he gets his money? I still don't like him at all as a WR prospect. If I were a GM, that contract would be 90% incentive clauses, including weight.
Give me Alshon over Wright. If anything that YAC he has scares me. Spread field, bad defenses, didn't have to battle for possessions. Meh. Honestly though, I'd almost just say screw it, waste our #1 pick on a TE#2 (sigh) and take Fleener. He's not a risk and fills a need.
It'll take him at least 4 years for him to "get his money", well at least real big boy money. The guy had a pretty good season still while; being overweight, in the toughest conference (defensively), and with a sub-par QB and you still don't want him? I would take a chance on him, especially when we have a great role model receiver opposite him like AJ, to push him to the next level... hopefully. I see promise that's all I'm saying.
If Fleener is there you know Kubiak's knees will be shaking with the temptation of drafting the #1 TE on the board.
He can replace Daniels eventually, he might be that good, but if you take a TE#2 with your FIRST pick in the draft... that's a borderline fail move.

This guy was dynamite two seasons ago, arguably the best in cfb. I think he'll be a productive NFL receiver. Hopefully he puts in work.
It is. He told me we were BFF, and then he start hanging out with my other friends and didn't invite me along anymore. I'll never forgive him for that betrayal.
I'd be intrigued if he slipped to the second and we moved up from our current 2nd rounder (like we did with Brandon Harris) packaging one of our supplementary picks to get him. This is contingent on us going elsewhere in the first. Fleener + Jeffrey = disgusting number of weapons.
