Clint Mansell is a genius. If you like this soundtrack you should check out The Fountain. I've never seen the movie itself, but have listened to the soundtrack tons of times. Death is the Road to Awe is brilliant.

    Ok so my list:

    Requiem For A Dream
    The Fountain
Phantom Menace (the movie was clearly one of the lower tier of all the star wars movies, but the soundtrack might be the best of them all)
Crossroads (Ralph Macchio 80's not Britney spears 2000s)
Purple Rain (don't judge me.. LOL)
    Above The Rim
    Boyz in the Hood

    Qatzi trilogy / Phillip Glass.

I also liked the percussion parts of "I am Sam." I didn't care for the Beatles covers as much, though they were put to great use in the movie, but the percussion style tracks such as while he was working in he coffee shop really stood out to me.

I forgot about those. I actually liked Powaqatsi (no idea how to spell it LOL) the most. It was a little less relentless and draining, as Glass music has a tendency to be.

Agreed. I avoided the complete spellings. All fantastic, though it's a bit much when compared to a movie that isn't as solely focused on music enhancing the visual.
