Like I said by looking at the physical evidence that doesn't back up the report. You're right it is fun, and we see the evidence. It doesn't back up that version of the police report. No wonder the other police detective filled out an affidavit that they Zimmerman's story didn't seem accurate.
Nor was it confirmed by anyone to be accurate. LOL! Wait for the facts. You didn't wait for anything even resembling the evidence. You didn't wait for the confirmation required in standard journalism let alone a criminal investigation. Yet you stated the "rumor" as if it was the truth.
They found Trayvon's body in the grass... kinda hard to pound somebody's head in the pavement when you are laying on grass.
The link says the video was taken the night of the fight. At about 1.04 mark there is a good shot of the back of his head. There appears to be a small dark mark in the middle that I suspect is the injury to the back of his head. It would be hard to tell without inspecting it closer or getting a much higher quality video but it doesn't compare consistent with repeated bashing on concrete. Also when they bring him into the hallway his nose appears fine. Anyone who has seen a freshly broken nose will know that they usually don't appear so straight. Again this is based on a somewhat grainy tape so his condition could be worse than what is seen.
No one is denying that but as you should know just because you have the right to do something doesn't mean it is a good idea. Do you understand what you do as part of the neighborhood watch? Do you understand why Zimmerman was following Martin in the first place?
Yes I do, thanks. What proof do you have that Zimmerman was "looking for trouble". He claims he started with an innocuous question to Martin. That's not looking for trouble, sorry.
I can attest for a fact that isn't wrong, and again at the risk of sounding like an internet tough guy, proved that tonight at Judo practice. Weight is a natural advantage but is easily countered by improved physical fitness and skill. You are talking about pro-fighters and if you note in my post I cited fitness level. Most pro-fighters are generally close in each other regarding physical fitness. When I was a competitor it was the exception for the me to fight people my weight or lighter as I as in the 60 KG, (132 lb) weight class and frequently local tournaments wouldn't have anyone my weight. I was still able to win matches. In Judo and Jujitsu it's not unusual to fight up in weight classes and skill and fitness are far bigger advantages than just weight. Looking at the video of Zimmerman. It is pretty clear he isn't anywhere near the physical fitness of a pro-fighter or even a serious amateur fighter. [EDIT] Rewatching the video again Zimmerman doesn't seem in that bad shape. That said I can still attest that weight isn't the final determinate of what makes a better fighter. Without seeing Martin It is hard to judge how they compare and just build doesn't tell much of their fighting capabilities.
Evidently you don't understand the job of Neighborhood watch. It is literally to look for trouble If it wasn't there wouldn't be a point to it. Anyway Zimmerman fulfilled his role of Neighborhood watch when he called in that he saw someone suspicious. He had the right but didn't need to follow Martin on foot or try to question him. I don't know how things work in your mind but questioning someone who you think is suspicious out in the open is looking for trouble.
On the flip side of your argument, Martin had no responsibility to identify himself or the reason he was in the neighborhood to Zimmerman. Confronting Martin to ask for ID/etc. does absolutely no good.
Guys -- it's been fun teaching/educating/dominating/humiliating many of you over the past couple weeks. I'm leaving tomorrow afternoon for a European vacation, so don't expect to see posts from me for a little while. If this story is still going when I return, I will re-engage with you. From what we've seen to date, we don't yet have sufficient facts.
Hell, after all of these pages we don't even understand the basics of a neighborhood watch. Have fun and don't go looking for trouble!
bigtex lets say you were a self appointed armed neighborhood watch.. would you follow trayvon after being told no by authorities?
What are the odds that he explores Europe, gets followed by a neighborhood watch official for suspicious activity that involved walking with the strange foreign candy called skittles and then gets shot?
I'm going to ask again and perhaps somebody can explain it to me. If Martin was pounding Zimmerman's head into the pavement right before Zimmerman used lethal force(as he claims), then why was Martin's body found laying in the grass where he was shot? Grass =/= pavement
Also, if this is a tiny gated community that Zimmerman patrols regularly... Why would he physically need to get out of his car to check the cross streets? Just seems like there are way too many holes in his story. I'm sure his father, the judge, will instruct him on exactly what to say to keep his self defense claim above water.
