    Only directly after meals. Between meals (for healthy people), insulin based lipolysis is exceeded by fat burn as long as you're burning more calories than you're consuming.

    Insulin also stimulates protein synthesis, suppresses appetite, and oh by the way, your body can still store fat when your insulin levels are low if, again, you aren't burning the calories you're consuming.

    Protein, btw, stimulates insulin secretion as well.

    Carbs aren't evil, and neither is insulin.

    Did you know your body burn a greater percentage of fat when you are just sitting around? It uses a greater percentage of carbs when you are exercising hard.

    As long as she is sticking to 1500 cals or so she should be ok. She probably just needs a multivitamin for what she doesn't get. Iron is iron whether it is in meat or a capsule.

    This story shows that weight isn't always directly related to diet. She is fortunate that she is young and she has a good metabolism but as she is finding out a diet like this isn't sustainable and will catch up with you.

    only eating a certain type of food because youre too immature and stupid to try anything else is a disorder?? LOL. I bet a good slap upside her head would treat that disorder. SMFH.

    weak-willed parents? I have a cousin who only eats chicken nuggets at family functions. I could care less, but its like really, youd rather have the chicken nuggerts then delicious BBQ? :rolleyes:
