like a previous poster said.. i think that john wall, cousins, patterson, bledsoe, orton and whoever else that kentucky team had could beat the bobcats
Bledsoe can't get off a bench. Is Orton even in the league anymore? Patterson is a solid bench option now after a good year plus of development. Cousins would foul out in 15 minutes. Wall is solid but is really better than Kemba Walker right now?
You think the Argentina, Spain, etc teams from those times are barely better than the Wildcats? You're out of your mind.
With their skill set now, they still wouldn't. I remember...what was it...a year ago? Two years ago? People tried to compare Wildcats to the Nets...that was just as horrible as this
If anything if they used college rules the game would be EASIER. NBA shooters would tear that 3 point line up just like they did to the international line before they extended it and also the longer shotclock would fare better for them. I see no way they would win. Davis and MKG would compete as they are going to be solid NBA players if I were to guess though Kemba would drop 30+ easily and the bench guys would have a field day as well. Every player in the NBA has had great success all throughout their careers leading up to the NBA. It truly is the best of the best.
To give you an idea of how much more advanced NBA players are, DeMarcus Cousins was pwned by Hilton Armstrong in a pre-draft workout. And Cousins was one of the most polished young big to come out of college. A 19yr old Anthony Davis with college coaching would probably get owned by Thabeet, much less a true NBA player like Camby/Dalembert.
I do not think Kentucky could beat Charlotte, but an all-time great college team could. There have been some exceptional college basketball teams throughout history, who have exceptional talent. When I say exceptional talent, I mean players who have long NBA careers or turn out to be all-stars at some point. I doubt Charlotte could beat a stacked college team that has future NBA stars and starters up and down the roster, like some of those Duke, North Carolina, or UCLA teams. Charlotte, I really can see them struggling against well-coached teams with talent, along with teams who have unstoppable low post game.
Wow, I hope a lotta people are just trolling. Kentucky has no shot at winning. It would have been fun to see Biyombo in college
How come so many idiots say yes? LOL even if some insane universe the talent level in college was equal to the NBA game, it would still be 18 year old boys against 20-30 year old men. But the talent level's not equal at all. Guys like Hasheem Thabeet owned Andre Drummond last summer, and he couldn't even do anything in the NBA.
You'd have to go back to Phi Slamma Jamma to get that "all star team", but then that's not really the same because back then everyone finished 4 years of college first, so the age difference between a team like that and Charlotte which features rookies biyombo and that pg are very close.
Kareem's teams would have a shot. Even Phi Slamma Jamma. Sure Hakeem and Clyde were awesome. But they would be rookies and there would still be a significant talent differential at every other position
No recent college team would have a realistic shot at the Cats, and they would get pounded by 50 by the Raptors... Any college team with Augustin/Walker/Maggette/Tyrus/Biyombo/Mullens/Henderson would win every game handily...
Anthony Davis has a bright future but the dude is way to skinny right now and he has no offensive game. NBA centers and power forwards would murder him right now. Dont know how much he weighs now but ESPN has him listed at 220 lbs. Even if he has gained 10 more pounds, Kevin Durant would still weigh more than that dude.
