With Denver's possible slide, we can make the playoffs this season, so I hope we can hold on to that NY pick.
No knees and back issues. Uninsurable. Insurance companies are great at assessing risk, probably even better than moneyball employees for nba teams. It's like betting against the casino, when you offer a contract to a player that nobody wants to insure. You might win a few times. If you keep playing, the house always comes out ahead. Knicks bet and lost. They tried to move away from the table(Stoudemire trade for Howard), but they were unable to do it.
Why the hell is the Eastern Conference this bad? These self entitled POS Knicks don't deserve playoffs. That might even bother me more than the pick. They don't even have a winning record. It is absolutely torturous having to root for the Bucs to do something. Wow the conference is so bad it isn't even funny....
NY is not bad enough to slide past most East teams. Which is sad because the East is pretty aweful. The Knicks do not deserve a playoff spot. Thats for sure. When you are against the Bucks who are playing an injured Knicks roster and those Bucks have zero heart to take that last playoff spot? Its tough to expect anything from New york short of the 8th seed.
I don't know guys. I still think we have a shot at their lotto pick and ours (yes, I know most are against missing the playoffs, but no Lowry def makes me want to miss them). If Amare is done they still have: Orl, @Atl, Cavs, @Indy, @Orl, Chi, @Chi, @Mil (back to back), Was (blah), Mia, Bos. And 4 of the last 5 are on the road (@NJ, @Cle, @Atl, LAC, @Cha). They aren't out the woods yet, and the Bucks can make up the game tonight if they beat them next go round. Now the only difference is unless they go on a major losing streak then their pick won't be much more valuable than picking 15th, since we can't have them move into the top 5. Edit: And Melo tweaked his groin.
The Knicks can afford to eat his contract and can get out of jail, ie salary cap relief with a medical retirement.
So... #15 it is. In the end, Jared Jefferies' bloated contract netted us #15 and #20+ two years later.
Also Austin Rivers, Perry Jones and possibly Leanord, Zeller and Terrence Jones. Still quality there, but I would love to get in the top 10 range.
Noooo Austin rivers plz.. I'm a fan of his casually but I know he's not productive. Leonard yes... White yes... Maybe if lamb falls too
Way too early to say that. Banged up, worn out team with a rough stretch on the horizon. Same with us. I want us to win...but the thought of three picks in this draft excites me. I would even firesale Martin for a 4th - someone like the Pacers, Cavs, or Suns.
Only if we use a bunch of picks and/or assets to trade up. Don't have the minutes on this team to develop a bunch of meh draft picks. On the other hand if we can get a top 7 pick yeah if we can get a top 5 pick hell yeah.
