Rockets would have 5 more wins right now with Pau trade?

    This is part of an insider article about if the original 3-team trade wouldn't have been vetoed. The writer mostly focused on the effects on the two LA teams (of course), but according to the simulations Houston would have 31 wins right now instead of 26. Trading those players for Pau would have made us significantly better even without the addition of Nene. :(

    I'm guessing that was done with interchanging Scola/Gasol, Dragic/Lin (Lowry out, slight downgrade) and Martin/nobody.

    Seems about right.

    Puts the Lakers in 2nd place in the West, and the Good Guys in the 4th spot!!! Would have been nice...

    You gotta figure that the stats are a bit off. Would Gasol be playing on such a level if forced to carry the load night in and night out? Would we bring in different players had the gasol trade gone through?

    With Nene, it would have been plausible for the Rockets to be in the 2nd or 3rd spot :(

    Five more wins with Pau? Right now LA is 30-19 with Kobe on the team. You think Pau will lead the team to 31-18 record without Kobe? I can argue that Pau's rocket team would have five more losses than current team with Dragic, Scola. Who knows? no one knows the result until you have that team, and play it out.

    Nene? If I am not mistaken, Nene has been injured for a while when he was Denver this year again, and he was traded to East because the team is concerning his injure problem with a long term contract. If you really want to have his big contract, you may be able to get him sometimes later.

    Thanks God the trade didn`t happen. Rockets will be stuck with Gasol, Nene and Hayes contracts. Nene lives in hospital, thats why the Nuggets trade him for chips

    Rockets could have kept Jeremy Lin and waived no shows like Terrance Williams before the season started instead of midway through regardless of the trade that didn't go down.

    Lol i forgot hayes, ima go ahead and replace camby with hayes. We probably would of traded twill his buddy hill and the beat for a back up 2g putting bud at the 3 and morris in the D league.

    Its propaganda to say the Lakers would be better and the parts to their team would be better at the same time. Yet if they gain the Rockets players somehow they also get better? Does that make sense or is that corniest deduction to come to just to favor the Lakers in both talent and outcome too in both scenarios? Its stupid.
