They can't do anything to stop Bynum, even double teaming not working. The Lakers have no excuse for not getting him 20-25 shots the way he's going.
OJ's been doing this for the last month at least. He routinely gets 1 block a game or more every game. That is why the grizzlies could opt to sign him and trade tony allen. He is no longer a liability on defense.
This game was all Tony Allen. Z-Bo played really well too. Everytime he got the ball, good things happened for Memphis. Really good all around play by them
Good win for the Grizzlies, returning the favor to the Lakers after getting kicked last night by the Clippers. On the Lakers side, is it ever bad when they lose?
This. I'm guessing Hollins is trying to work Randolph into game shape; he should be starting soon. Gasol / Randolph / Gay is one of the best frontcourts in the game.
The scary thing about the grizzlies is that they are capable of beating any team at any time. Everybody knows this. I hope that the grizzlies get the clippers in the first round because we own this team one.
I don't know if the Grizz have enough time for Randolph to get back to his old self (put me down for 20+/10+ every night). Without that Randolph, the Grizz won't be much of a factor in the playoffs. If they get that Randolph, this team will be scary. Deep, got an inside-outside game, wing and interior defenders galore, love to grind it out...
I think Rudy and Mike's game are X factors. If they are playing like borderline allstars...you can compare them to a Poor man version's Pistons 2004.
Zbo started the previous 2 games before this I think I know he started at least one of them. I guess because the team was struggling they decided to bring him off the bench this game. It worked.
Mike's been playing pretty bad lately, but he is a ballplayer and he isn't scared of the big moment. Mayo is certainly the x-factor, though. Because when he gets it rolling he can turn the game.
