The mugshot of Zimmerman + the 6 year old picture of Martin is stuck in everybody's heads. A clear play on people's sympathies and biases. It doesn't change the facts of the case at all, but it does shape public opinion, and could have helped people like Spike Lee and the New Black Panthers form their decision to put Zimmerman's life in jeopardy by posting his address and putting a bounty on his head, respectively....

It's supposed to prove that Trayvon was "urban" enough to pose a threat to the straight-laced, charges dropped, police academy reject, gun-carrying, neighborhood harassment specialist. Why so defensive? I just asked a question. Are you upset at what the answer might be? Hell maybe Zimmerman tripped and fell and hit his head or maybe he banged his own head, I don't know. I'm just curious how he got injured on the back of his head. And are we just going to prosecute Zimmeran with out examining all of the facts? What if the kid attacked Zimmerman first? Do you have a link verifying that's Trayvon? The two don't look alike at all except for the tone of their skin. But if you're just trying to get a point across, then that wouldn't surprise me either.
The media is only interested in ratings. They don't care what really happened or what was the cause. Zimmerman may very well be guilty as sin, but the media just runs with whatever will get people to tune in.
